Iwelumo scored 10 goals because he was surrounded by quality players. The same cannot be said about PNE who play 3-5-2.

Why would Austin want to join us ahead of play off chasing Burnley? Why would Howe want to do the same? Prove that we'll blow £1m on Iwelumo. You wax lyrical about David Healy being one of the 'Golden generation' of strikers, yet we paid £1.5m for him and sold him for £600k, and we bought him as an international at the age of 22.

You harp on about youth and signing ageing players, If you are using Burnley as a benchmark for us then they had a very very experienced squad and didnt really take any chances with unknown players in the division.

No, it isn't a FACT that Howe would have joined PNE. It's just your opinion. If Howe had been approached to replace Irvine, he may well have come then, but faced with the choice, why would he choose PNE over Burnley at this time? As for Austin, you are again referring to months ago. Maybe we should have gone for him at that time, but we didn't, so we are talking about now-we are where we are, so get real, and get behind the club instead of constantly whining because your 5 Year Plan isn't being followed.
