JD I was told Barton was crap and because of that I'd drop him next game. OK smart arse what have you to say about that? No doubt you want us to keep playing these clowns Ashbee and Brown W. regardless of their performances. For me it's simple. You earn the right to wear the PP shirt.

Also about your comment concerning punches being thrown. Unfortunately I've been caught up in several incidents with PNE fans and in every instance PNE's mob did a runner so don't come on here making out you're a fckuing face because when it comes down to it big time neither you nor anyone else (Neil excepted, who once attakced 50 Stoke fans on his own!) supporting PNE puts up a fight. The unanimous opinion throughout the "face" fraternity is that Preston are the club whose fans run most.

OK now about an incident I got caught up in at Rotherham away in 1975 circa? Myself, my father and three other PNE chums were walking back to our car. We turned down a side road and came across about 8 Rotherham lads aged early 20's holding two PNE fans (older than us as we were only aged about 15-17) over the bonnet of a car beating the shit out of them. My father asked them what the hell they were doing whioh was a pretty stupid thing to do. This was the signal for them to turn on us. As big as they were, like the cowards they were, they wouldn't attack us one on one. They would group up then attack. We didn't run. We stood our ground and took an almighty pasting. That day we were saved by an oap lady who, in typical "Ripping Yarns" Barnstoneworth United style, came flying out of her 2 up 2 down terraced house waving a red hot poker around. She caught two of our assailants with the aforementioined weapon and I can still, all these years later, smell their leather jackets burning as she scored a few direct hits. As the old dear stood their shouting that she'd had enough of this gang an old boy who lived opposite her came out with a crate of empty milk bottles and started lobbing them at the retreating mob. And what happened to the two older PNE chaps we'd prevented from being hospitalised? Why in true PNE spirit they did a runner and left us to it.

Whether you believe it or not I don't give a toss because this is a true story as PH, JPO and MT will remember.

I would like any of you who went today (because I didn't and have no intention of going again) to give me an HONEST assessment of Wayne Brown and Ian Ashbee's performances? This was the "experience" so many of you crave yet it didn't seem to work. Thank god Brown will be booted out at the end of the season. Unfortunately we're stuck with 34 year old Ashbee for 18 months. Can anyone see him being able to act as our midfield general in the 1st division? A Hull fan has told me he is finished and Brown signing him was an old pal's act.

You see, Andrew, there is a good deal of hypocrisy in what you say there. The other day you used several expletives directed towards me. This despite my never once feeling the need to resort to "gutter" language in my responses to you. Still, it does show a lack of debating prowess when one does such a thing.

Punk, he was signed by WBA on the agreement he would be loaned back this season but I'll tell you this, if I could get £2 million from Ipswich tomorrow for St.Ledger which is now impossible and sign Dawson for £500K (for next season's 1st division campaign) I'd do it. He would be the very first building block to put in place.

I'm sure you now agree there is no longer any debate about staying up. We now need a strategy to ensure we return at the first go and as in previous times don't spend a decade in the abyss.

Just seen our question about Reynolds. I'd take Reynolds ahead of Wayne Brwon any day! I think we can all say that the word "inept" is the personification of Wayne Brown. He's as awful as Morgan.

Why would WBA sign Dawson for £1m, loan him out (where he is doing ok) then sell him for 500k within 12 months?

As i keep saying to you and will continue to do so, you are numerically challenged Andrew.
