We’re going down

We’re going down

Well you can definitely put no player looks to have improved under the coaching staff.

Development of played has been shocking. They’ve all gone backwards imho.
I'd disagree. Don't think many particularly got much better though, other than Whiteman and Hughes having their best seasons. And they platformed the loan players last season more than they've had elsewhere.

Pol was already a poor player who just happened to have a decent start last season. Small had two really good games so people maybe had higher expectations, when in truth, he's just a very raw player, that lacks football IQ. Don't think anyone has particularly gone backwards, outside of spells when players have come back from injuries. Certainly not all of them, or remotely close to all of them.

By shoddy in-game management that was primarily aimed towards the coaching staff than the players - poor subs, too reactive and not proactive enough to how the opposition has changed at half-time and not directing the players on how to counter these changes in the game. Obviously, the players should be able to have a mind of their own, but it’s overseen by the manager. So yeah, I’d hope a new manager would be able to come in and show a difference towards all that.
I feel this isn’t just a PNE problem but more of a modern game problem that players are being over coached and no longer being able to think for themselves or managers don’t trust them to do it hence why everytime there is stoppages players come over for a chat on the sidelines.

Agree to disagree 😂

I thinks all the non playing staff need moving on. Non have shown anything to me that they have contributed to anything over the last couple of years. Murphy most definitely the biggest culprit

Yeah a clean slate would be good as a new manager bringing in a full staff of people he wants would be better for them.

Depends what they want though. They might not have certain positions that they have someone they really want for that position so may be happy to stick with what's here until they've seen more.

It would help if Hemmings, Penrose, Ridsdale and crew hadn’t given other teams an 8 game head start - the indecision over keeping Mr Uninspiring Heckingbottom with all the transfer spend is certifiable .
Ridsdale banned former managers from attending gaves because of disruptive influences- What’s the equivalent for him being asleep at the wheel /or believing his own decisions on managerial disaster appointments.

What we are at the moment is directionless.

We have in fact been in a position of uncertainty since the passing of Trev.

The club has been in the hands of a group of people who see it has a millstone around it's neck.

Penrose did his job and found a buyer.

A quick sale would have helped enormously but the new IFR has royally fucked us up.

At the moment we are owned by people who just want shut so they can get on with the business of running the usual business empire.

They are stuck with keeping the club in reasonable condition until the deal is signed off.

The new guy is stuck with wanting to make the improvements to take the club forward.

Everyone is stuck in no man's land, including us fans until the IFR get their fingers out.

Not sure if anyone is "ITK" , just wish they would get on with it so we can at least have a chance of turning the ship around before it hits the ferkin iceberg.

Excellent post - whoever is managing Trevor’s legacy is wholly culpable. Although Trevor himself was t blameless putting in restrictive conditions in for the takeover that are (apparently) particularly obdurate

Bureaucracy is a pain in the arse in many walks of life and this scenario is certainly no exception.

I think it's an easy excuse to say the IFR has messed up the takeover. Other clubs are getting things done and IFR decisions are being made.
It's very clear that our takeover hasn't even been submitted to IFR yet (or certainly wasn't in the summer as most of us thought). I don't believe the huge delays are just because of IFR checks, it's a lazy reason.

Do we ever have a plan ?

Not blaming them, just saying it isn't doing our position any good.

I don't know for sure but I think that the ones that have been done are not complete takeovers but share purchases and maybe some who are before us in a queue.

We first saw the guy around the new year and we are nine months on, Penrose made his statement so we know it's been going on for a while, not sure how it is lazy to ask the question.

Best JACKANORY story I’ve ever heard.

its not a lost cause, not everybody is totally negative.
Lots of us are pragmatic and teeter between the positive and the negative - and back n forth!! 😀

Parallels with Ingol Golf Course

Hemmings wasn’t so keen on that someone said. Rumour has it he won it in a card game.
