Tickets West Ham (a) - SOLD OUT

Tickets West Ham (a) - SOLD OUT

Not going to lie, West Ham away will be by only PNE game this season due to personal committments. However the main reason I'm going is for the day out and drinks in London (not expecting much on the pitch.)

With that said, I cannot believe the tickets did not go on a priority points basis (I definitely wouldn't have qualified). Someone at the club has massively misread the room here. I'm seeing lifelong season ticket holders on FB complaining they didn't get one and rightly so. However, if I could get one, they could.

Going for a great day out with mates in the smoke, not expecting much from the game. Prob be off early to avoid tube queues. 😂

Surprised at sell out in rapid time, got mine (upper tier) in person at 1 o'clock + last coach seat , very lucky , probably would have paid over the odds at this stage for train travel. Fella next window buying for 8 season ticket holders in one go!
Half the reason going is a ground debut to be honest but still an experience on the day.
Last went to that part of the world 2004/5, nice memories!

Shame about the memories from Cardiff in May of the same season….

I’m going to risk reopening an old argument but we essentially can’t stand for a whole match and that is part of the reason we don’t go to away matches anymore - there’ll always be someone stood and I basically stopped trying. I’d hope that as there were standing tickets available, people who bought seats will be able to sit for the duration.
Any sell out away game, you’re going to have stand unless you get front row and even then you may have to stand depending on your view if others either side are stood - that’s the norm these days for every club up and down the country

I went to Charlton in April for Gentry Day and I thought that there was no way that I would be able to stand up from 3pm until 5pm but with the exception of sitting in my seat at half time, I managed to stand up for the whole game….

Several beers probably helped

I thought Blackburn were the plastics? Maybe we should compare attendances. Anyway, great away following. I was looking at the away end pic earlier in the thread. That bloody great wall on the left hand side is a bit much isn't it? Enjoy the day all who are going. Hope we can get some sort of result.

There was a spell when the club tried to sell tickets in blocks specifying if you bought block whatever the expectation was you sat. Not everyone can stand and just because something is the norm doesn’t make it right.

I speak as someone of a certain age who loved the terraces so of course I understand the desire to stand - but in those days there were always seats for those who wanted seats.

That’s just one of the reasons I don’t do away games anymore so it’s not a huge concern of mine anyway.

West Ham is probably an anomaly of a ground where the lower tier is a lot better view being closer to the pitch so a lot of people myself included got tickets in there as opposed to the safe standing upper tier. If it was a normal ground the seating at the front those would have been left.
