Tickets West Ham (a) - SOLD OUT

The 'I'm a better fan than you' brigade seem to be out in full force on twitter.
They know nothing of a real ground and a real away game
Wet Spam on a weekend in a soulless athletics stadium v Bristol City with a proper ground on a Wednesday evening - #fairweather fans.
Then again - behind the corporate glass they all do seem the same

West Ham is probably an anomaly of a ground where the lower tier is a lot better view being closer to the pitch so a lot of people myself included got tickets in there as opposed to the safe standing upper tier. If it was a normal ground the seating at the front those would have been left.
I generally prefer the lower tier for away days. Plastics the lower tier is much better, as is Bolton.

Yeah, I understand why it’s sold out. I just don’t think we can shout “amazing support” when we’ve not even sold half the allocation for a game just over an hour up the road

That being said, I don’t blame people for picking and choosing games. I’m assuming a lot will have saved for West Ham at the expense of other games
It'll take you a lot longer than an hour if you go up the road.

Been there three times but only for the baseball. Can’t say it’s great viewing other for than athletics. According to my cousin who’s a spanner there’s big gaps in the stands and you’re a long way from the pitch. Good day out anyway.
It's rounders kids game

I have to be honest - it didn’t occur to me that we might shift all our tickets within a day, considering we’re likely to lose 3-0. I was planning on going to the game with a friend, so if anyone hears of any tickets becoming available at any point, feel free to get in touch.

I think that the problem you will have Andy, is that there is already a long waiting list for tickets should
people hand them back…

I went to the former Olympic stadium not too long after it was completed for a work event. It was spectacular but from what comments I seem to pick up it is maybe a bit bland as a football stadium but as an away supporter it is probably interesting because it is so unusual.

I was nearby the stadium a few months back and it struck me that because it is not surrounded by anything except in the immediate vicinity empty space there is something about the approach to it that feels a bit like walking up to Wembley. Whatever the location and the fact that it will be our first ever match there should make for an interesting experience and maybe even an exciting one if we can start playing with some fluency and consistency in the meantime. Of course for people who can remember an afternoon long ago at the old Wembley then any match against our opponents in London later on next next month always has a special quality.

Not going to lie, West Ham away will be by only PNE game this season due to personal committments. However the main reason I'm going is for the day out and drinks in London (not expecting much on the pitch.)

With that said, I cannot believe the tickets did not go on a priority points basis (I definitely wouldn't have qualified). Someone at the club has massively misread the room here. I'm seeing lifelong season ticket holders on FB complaining they didn't get one and rightly so. However, if I could get one, they could.
Too right badly none
