Fellow North End supporters. I was there tonight and i must say this.
We have sunk to the bottom. Tonights performance was aweful.
We have a team of headless chickens with a skill factor of nil.

I was laughing my head off at all our
GCSE students in the back rows.
How times have changed

THERE IS ONLY ONE GUY WHO CAN TURN US AROUND AND THAT IS BILLY DAVIES. Get him back Mr Risdale
Voldemort I have to agree with you,

All this constantly changing the team has got the players shitting themselves you could see that in simonsens performance tonight.

Why Byrom is anywhere near the team is a mystery to me he is shite . What has he done to earn a starting place.

This guy is so biased to his ex players its scary , and will most probably cost him his job eventually.

At this stage of the cup last season, I felt we still had a promotion battle on our hands. At this stage of this cup, I feel we have nothing but mid table mediocrity to fight for in the league. So I saw tonight as a big deal to be honest.

I agree with this. I feel the season is somewhat over now as we are extremely unlikely to make the play offs or the relegation zone.

Considering Simonsen's presence on the pitch is down to a terrible team selection from Westley, you can merge the Simonsen and Westley votes to give the total amount of blame to be labelled at the manager. At present, therefore, 88% of fans are currently blaming Westley for last night's defeat. No surprise as usual, however, that Graham "I don't do excuse cultures" Westley blames the ref!

A combination of all the things listed. However, I have voted officials because ultimately it was their very poor decisions that denied us a penalty and goal chance and gifted them a goal that was clearly offside. It's goals that decide a game.

Whilst all this is true, we can't keep blaming match officials for doing badly. We're a football team, we should be able to put the ball in the back of the net without set-pieces or the help of an official.

During our "high flying" days in the championship we didn't moan about how officials lost us this and that seemingly all the time, we got on with it and scored a bloody goal.

Yes, we seem to have it a bit rough, but i think collectively as fans we need to stop moaning about the officials because it's just a get out clause.

this is spot on, even now I still believe we was cheated. But its done now.

ActuallyBJB I recall Craig Brown once saying he had compiled more than 30 mistakes by officials which had gone against us in games one of the seasons he was here. It's always been a problem and will remain so until technology is brought in.

Hard to pick between keeper and manager as Westley is the idiot who keeps picking Simonsen.

Catch 22.

Very fair point, although i wouldn't say we were high flying under Craig Brown. Whilst i think that officials can impact a game in a large way, i'm sick of it being used as an excuse. Officials, especially at this level, make a lot of mistakes, but that happens to all teams.

The reputation we have been given thanks to GW distorts this somewhat, but i wish we would just get on with it and make it a minor issue. If we had been more creative and defended better, we would not be bemoaning an offside goal and a penalty claim denying us a shot at wembley.

Totally agree with you.

Spot on.Stop whining and get on with it.

I remember Craig Brown saying that Joan and I also wondered how many of the opposing managers agreed with him.

Not many I'll bet.

I finally voted... and, by a nose, I blamed the manager. But all four were candidates (assuming the reports of a stonewall pen and offside for the winner are actually true).

The only time I've liked Simonsen has been when he's lined up for the opposition. I'll give him some latitude... if he was playing injured, and couldn't come off, then I won't blame him for goals 2 & 3.

But Westley tinkered with the positions of the forwards.... and the negative substitution after the goal... these were the biggest contributors.

Should have had a pen in the second half for a handball on the line but the ref gave them a free kick for fuck all.

The winner was offside but that obviously wouldn't have been an issue if butter fingers hadn't made such a hash. However, I thought this at the time and the replay seems to suggest the same, the header from their centre half should have stood. At first glance on the still he looked offside but Foster (who was obscured by a defender) was actually playing him on IMO.

I stayed up till 5 in the morning to watch it live last night - thought we had a lot of possession without really doing anything with it and scored 2 very fortunate goals. I've not bothered trawling through the entire thread but if a goalkeeper (injured or not ) cant parry the ball over the bar then why is he in the goals in the first place ???? if we had had won 2-1 Coventry could have felt hard done by
