The fucking dog and duck Over 70s reserves would have embarrassed us that night in all aspect.

Never been fully convinced by the Armstrong hype TBH. Certainly a good player and better than most of what we already had but I’m not sure he was the difference maker to the extent many believe. Yep, results were better in the autumn but not sure performances lived up to that a lot of the time. The January drop off could equally be attributed to fortune eventually evening out and even more so to the loss of Iversen.
I think he was unbelievable for an 18 year old, and one of the best I've seen play for us, but fair enough.

You have to have a serious agenda to not acknowledge that Whiteman has had a good season, both defensively and in terms of creating.

He was gash last season though, so I can only assume he was carrying an injury for most of it. Having more runners in the team has certainly helped this season though.
You have to have a serious agenda to not acknowledge that Whiteman is bloody awful. He constantly gives free kicks away by chucking himself into tackles he can't win, gives the ball away cheaply and his signature pass is lump it forward to an imaginary striker. This is why we're constantly beating off massive clubs who want to sign him.

This. I cannot believe anybody that watches North End on a regular basis thinks that Whiteman has had a good season. He's the nucleus of everything that's wrong with the team. Negative, no creativity and quite frankly not captain material.

Yet plenty of our fans will still insist he’s never passed forward a day in his life.
Over half of that is from set pieces tbf. His open play chances created would put him around 50th overall with 31. Would be lower if it was per90.

But you are right about the idiots who think he doesn't pass forward. They probably only remember the ones where he does and it gets intercepted.

Oooooops hahahaha. Whiteman clearly meant to post that on his private story 🤣🤣

Already some massive overreactions from the parasocial weirdos.

tbf, imagine settling in for a relaxing holiday with your family and then facing up to the prospect of 2 weeks of "you're no Sean Gregan" and "You need to pass it forward, not just sideways and backwards."

No doubt there will be some morons calling for his contract to be torn up.

While it’s only a slip up, how hard is it to have a quick conversation with a north ender on holiday. He’s one of the highest earners at the club and enjoying himself in a lovely country. Miserable sod

That's why context is needed.
He may have had the conversation with them and they might be absolute arseholes.
