Just asking the question like. Its a shit divsion in my view no matter what Phil brown said yes i havent seen
Sheff Wed yet but if MK Dons are suppose to be the all singing all dancing club is this divsion and weve just beaten them on their own patch then who have we to fear?

For me play offs are nailed on,all we have to is keep to a bog standard 4-4-2 and weres the problem. You don't need the likes of Bily Davis, Dave Jones Garath Southgates in this divsion. The lads are happy,we have enough quality, all we needed
was somebody to make them all feel valued and get them back to enjoying their football days and then you were on to
a winner. Its not rocket scienmce even though our last manger tried to make it more complicated than it neede to be.

I heard the PNE changing rooms from were i was sat on Saturday and trsut me it was rocking, i was delivering down at the traing ground and trust me the session was electric. I spoke to Mells and he said " if we leave it as it is we will be in the play-offs. Unsworth said its not about me, or the neil mellors of this world its about you guys that pay to watch us and follow us and down the country" Grezza said, "after i thanked him for coming over to the fans on Saturday, "were all in this together" and before you give me shit about asking them question they actually ask me to come in for a brew with them. Do we really want to changed that and stop us being togther as one again. We don't need egos any more. We have two lads in charge who value us as fans. Its not about them as they have said its about Preston North End and i'll drink to that.

If i was the cahirman i would actually have gone in the changing rooms after the game and told the players;"see these two guys well their in charge till the end of the season andif you get into the play-offs they will be in charge next season as well. Can you imagine the feel good factor in those changging rooms if they had said that. The roof would have lifted off

But they still have the chance to say that to them and if they do we will walk into a play off position in my view and with a bit of luck be back in the championship next season.

Thats is a course what i would do but that is just MY VIEW

I'm glad that is only your view and not the person running the club.

We have one good win and everything is brilliant? I don't think so. It's not as simple as that.

Those players were the ones playing under Brown, Brown didn't help obviously but they each have a lot to answer for.

You make some good points about 4-4-2, but just because Mellor said we will be ok and Unsworth said that, well at the end of the day you're a fan and they tell fans what they want to hear.

It's not uncommon for a team to improve the following game after a manager has been sacked.

Why do we need a manager? Because someone needs to manage the club! Simples. Whether it should be Alexander and Unsworth is another question, but to suggest everything is good after one game, no!

Sorry Steve but thought we were crap against MK. Play like that for the rest of the season and we won't make the play offs mate.

Good post Surf and I agree

Before Mellor went off on Saturday we were battering them, could have had three with a bit of luck.

That's all it takes - 442. We have the first XI to beat most teams in this league.

Close them down, get the ball wide and get it in the box - simple

Well Charlton thumped us 5-2, Colchester 2-4, Bournemouth 1-3, and MK dons outplayed us for long periods...not bad for shit teams.

And we had a manager for most of them games.

My first choice initially was Billy Davies but the more I think about it I am starting to think that Grezza and Unsworth should get the job.

By the way, any news on Mellor's injury?

Nothing is 'nailed on' ever - in football or in any other aspect of life. Yes, our current squad - when everyone is available - is probably good enough to beat any other team in this division if it plays to the top of its game. But we have only one left-back, a central midfield with little strength-in-depth - even though there are plenty of bodies - and a strikeforce of somewhat injury-prone players. If we can free up some wages in January - Russell to the exit, maybe Nicholson back to Scotland, Alexander to the manager's chair - and bring in two or three young energetic players then we will have a chance of getting straight back out of this division. A chance but that's it. The again if anything was nailed on there wouldn't actually be any point in it.

Big Sam no let's get a big name in.

David Moyes no cheap option it was said not experince enough was the other comments

Billy Davis should gave been sacked with Brown was the general comment.

Do you a pattern building up all lads about the same age as unsworth and grezza and all came.from withi and all went on to do the business.

Huddersfuel are nothing without Rhodes. Charlton we will batter them at ours. all they are are 442 with a quality striker up front we can more than match that.

And who to manage them?😕

What about the ages of Simpson and Ferguson, not from within, but you would have thought that they would have had the same hunger to succeed as Unsworth and Grezza. Nice post, ruled with the heart I am afraid sooner than the head, at this critical stage in our clubs history we cannot afford to gamble or experiment on the next choice of manager. Billy Davies for me.

This is not dog and duck sunday morning Football.

so what's your view mate who's your choice and why go.on let's see if you can actually contribute something for a change. let's see if you can get above 2 lines . I'll.help you, you don't think unsworth and grezza are up.to it as you've just likened them to dog and duck Sunday football.

I agree with surf on this occasion. There seems to be a large number of people who have heard nothing about, or noticed, the club's financial problems which do not suit a big name manager.
Anyone with any football knowledge could see a transformation in the players not seen since god knows when, on Saturday evening.
Under Brown, or Ferguson, there is no way we'd have held out against MK Dons attacks. We would have crumbled.
One game or not, those who understand football saw a change for the better, and there's no doubt they'll be well up for it again, and playing in the right positions, in the next game.
Stick with the young manager, Unsworth. The most successful managers in recent times at PNE, have been rookies and promoted from within.
I get the impression that those who are "for" Billy Davies, only actually started watching North End when he was manager. As such, glory hunters who wouldn't have been on during the lean years, and don't know any better.

Should it br Grezza and Unsworth? Possibly but not because the rest of the teams are shit.

What a load of utter tripe. Totally disrespectful of the other clubs in this league, surf.

We won and Im glad we won but trust me it was done on adrenaline not skill. Its a building block but thats all. Should it be Grezza and Unsworth? Possibly but certainly not because all the other teams are shit!

Condescending patronising bollocks

I first started supporting PNE under Bobby Seith, Bobby who you may well ask? If you want to gamble on the future of our proud club, then you carry on and where will you be in 30 years time?

The only guarantee with Davies is that he will leave us again and will not go quietly.
Remember his loyalty as took everything and ruined the following seasons efforts.
He inherited a good side/club was well paid but has gone.
Don't look back move on.

Lets remember the only people loyal in football are the fans, make hay while the sun shines. Move on bring in a man that can deliver, remove the depression, bring back hope, bring back Billy, unfinished business, to be continued!
