Flags for Deepdale 2022/2023 - PNE Online supporting North End Soul

I have a Season ticket in the STFS but sometimes it’s like a bloody morgue. On a few occasions I’ve been told to sit down whilst celebrating a goal. Changed my Season ticket to the Town End.
Well done….

Wouldn’t want you disturbing the tartan blanket wearers too much ….

Unlikley but we will have a chat to the club and see what's likely.

The middle block is pretty much full (aside from the bottom). The club won't (and rightly so) not want to move season ticket holders who have only just renewed.
Myself and PNEGSD have been messaging on another social media platform. From what has been said on here too, it seems that the current section where the drum currently resides is the best option, given people have already bought their season tickets in the middle, etc. We already have a drum, but quite frankly, need a better one (and I would say better drummers too). I'm guessing the singing section will move to the Kop when it is open, and Town End when not (given most of the singing section moves to the Kop when it is open anyways).

Next stage is organisation of the singing section - given my previous comments about how myself and 4 mates do start most of the songs atm (I would say 90% of them), we are more than happy to 'lead' so to speak at the front of the section. Flags, confetti, and the works add to an atmosphere, and if the club can support this new group financially, it would certainly add more youth on through the gates - if it has worked for Oldham, in a season where they were bottom of the 92 for most of it, I am sure it will work for North End.

The more folk that group together to achieve different things the better in my eyes.

As a forum we are happy help where we can.

With ourselves, yourselves ( if you can get something going) PSC and others it can only add together to improve things.

We can certainly band a lot of lads together to try and create something, and create an online presence, the only issue is contact with the club (as me and my mates don't have any). As a result, if we got something going, we would find it difficult to create tifos, flags, the lot, if that makes sense?

If you email enquiries@pne.com the clubs Fan Imvolvement/Engagement is who you want. 👍

I use to take my Snare Drum on during the Grayson era & early Alex Neil era. That did add to the atmosphere but because we were in the top corner it was difficult getting the whole Town End rocking/in sync. Being at the top in the middle would be a big boost & changing the current Bass Drums to a more Ultra Style ones (similar to what Huddersfield & Bpoo have), that would definitely help with the atmosphere.

So, best option looking like that end block where the drum is now. Need to get that full of people with the same views to improve atmosphere by standing and going at it all game, hopefully with banners that can remain out at bottom all game like oldham and huddersfield etc.

I think your best shot is to start to gather some momentum via social media , maybe create a page that people can read , and a link from here, keep the organisation of it down to a minimum , for example , when the kop opens you post up on the page that your gathering in the kop for a certain game , like minded people will join you. dont just go running right to the top right near the netting either , plonk yourself in the middle of the kop if you can, so people can just join you on the edges if this wish too.

When the kop is closed we all pile back into the town end.

Minimal organization , easy to achieve you don't need the club. Then you can take it from there , start small and plant the seed hopefully it will grow.

If people behave themselves and show it can be done without things getting lobbed onto the pitch and getting out of hand , then maybe, just maybe this can grow and the club will be more interested in engaging with this once they have seen what it can look like.

"Oh its a collective of fans in the middle of the Kop trying to create atmosphere"

"Oh they want some flags and can be trusted not to lob them"

"Oh they want a drum , well so far things have been ok , lets try a drum"

"Oh it seems to be working , they need a banner , lets allow them to have a banner"

See what I mean.

I think you need to drop any wording or connection with "ultras" , its got negative connotations and the stewards and club just are not going to be impressed. ( lets face it , we do have a naughty boy element )

I do like your passion and commitment to giving it a go thou , so plough on don't be put off.

Edit : try getting it going on the Kop first , prove it can work , the town end will take care of itself when we all pile back in 🙂 for now !

Surely we can bring our own banners and hang them at the front anyway?

Need to try get word spread on Social Media get more people involved for hopefully a 'designated singing section' on Town End and get it sorted ASAP before more red blocks for season ticket sales as currently block with the drum now is virtually empty which we could all go and stand top to bottom create atmosphere and have a banner at the bottom with a display before the games aswell.

Maybe be need to think of a name for the group and start up a social media page? Only a suggestion

If anyone young and old (I'm not youth team!) who has put their name forward or would like to help in ANY WAY, send me a forum DM with your contact details and we can start to put together some thoughts on a WhatsApp group.

Maybe easier if you set up a page then we can all read what’s posted without our phones going crazy

More so for people who would like to volunteer their time as part of the efforts going forward ☺️

Need to get a group set up ASAP make a poll for the name of the group and get it spread online

Spoke to the main man Trev J. as I think {North End Soul} fits so well...

Has his blessing and the imagery is already in place and known by most fans...

And for the record there will always be someone who disagrees! 😂
