Matchday Thread PNE v The Plastics - 17/02/24 - KO:3PM - Championship

Released some corporate seats for general sale.

Block J pretty much sold out as is the Finney, going to be close to a sell out (home ends) again.

It’s a shame that the only empty seats will be in the away end…….

I think they’ve only sold about 4K

Just remember, according to the plastics, this isnt a derby, so at least if we dont beat them, we wont be hearing any gloating from them about the result, our 'cup final' is just another game for them

Yeah, they even dropped Burnley in the 90’s because they found bigger and better rivals in Man Utd….

Man Utd didn’t give a shit about them……

A lot of Blackburn fans I’ve chatted to this week seem to think we’ll be turning them over today.

Can’t say I share that opinion, I’m never overly optimistic with North End, but fingers crossed.

Yep, we are quite often the cure for an opponents poor run of form.

Lump on the bastards in your accys.
The guy next to me at Cardiff got a message after Riis scored. His mate had Riis at 22 to 1 to score the first goal. You won't get that today.

I've not got good vibes about today, hoping for a win, expecting a draw, but fearing a loss.
Hopefully unfounded fears and we will be driving back up the Motorway sometime after 5, feeling a lot more positive!

Feel like there squad is a lot weaker than it has been in previous seasons where it has been tight at Deepdale.

I do feel confident we can win but also that nervous feeling that it could go either way and if we play like we did on Wednesday we will definitely struggle.

Really desperate to win this game. My two great grandsons’ dad and wider family are plastics. I have captured the 5 year old who tells his parents he is Preston like nanny but the other one is too little and a daddy’s boy. The bragging rights go very deep here because I’m still going on about our win(s) at their place. It is all in good spirit except today when I flippin mean it.🦹‍♀️COYW RLSWA.
👍👍🤞🥳

I agree. Let Millar and Riis use their pace and skill down the right and left flanks, I'd play McCann as RB today with orders to defend. The rain is predicted to be torrential so lets keep it tight at the back and let Mads, Millar and Riis work their magic.
Yes the heavy pitch will make it more tiring as well. Can’t predict the outcome of this one.

More positive about us going forward & shot conversion. If only there were more chances created.
Despite a shaky defence & injuries, on the bright side Freddie might be finding better form in terms of shot stopping.
Hope he’s been working with Pollitt, the defence etc regards his distribution.
Overall, more confident & predicting 3-1 today. 🤞 COYW!! 🤍💙
