Matchday Thread PNE v The Plastics - 17/02/24 - KO:3PM - Championship

It's finished 5-0 to PNE in this morning's big Lancashire derby...

Max Wilson, Ellis Horan, and Theo Carroll setting us up nicely, then substitutes T. Mawene and Rodriguez-Gentille finishing things off against 10-man Accrington

Released some corporate seats for general sale.

Block J pretty much sold out as is the Finney, going to be close to a sell out (home ends) again.

230 and 1 wheelchair left in the Sir Tom Finney. Invincible's and Townend now sold out.

also a reminder next weeks game v Coventry away is on Friday, due to Coventry playing in the FA Cup on the Monday.

We are in a great vein of form but as with the start of the season, the stats show that it just isn’t sustainable. Hopefully the run doesn’t end against these no-marks.

If we focus on ourselves and what our team can do, we will beat this lot. If we focus on what they may or may not do, we’ll lose.

Well they are desperate for a result as they slide down precariously to the relegation zone.

Obviously we want a win but we don’t have that desperation they have.

An early goal for us would definitely put them in a back foot.

So hoping Keane, Riis, Millar and Magic are in a lethal mood. Maybe even Holmes back too.

Hopefully that desperation also works to our advantage.

Afternoon all.

Please help protect our environment by ensuring that all plastics are properly disposed of.

3 pages for “our cup final”

10 pages on the Plastics forum already for a game they don’t care about…

Less than 250 tickets left in (one of) the home ends. What an opportunity! Could get back into the top six, playing a side out of form with the club in trouble, chance to put a local "rival" in their place. What could go wrong?

Unfortunate that they have had an extra 24hrs rest - that’s significant, especially with our squad looking a bit tired and a heavy pitch.
It is going to take some real effort - and I suspect Lowe wouldn’t really be able to set out to entertain, even if that was his inclination today.

Well that was unexpected! Was thinking there'd be 3 or even 4 changes!
