Great post JD.Anyway, I went to work absolutely fuming. I've not been so angry since I stubbed one of my naked toes last year against a wooden chair.
Calmed down a bit now (obviously) but... the whole club needs wiping clean from top to bottom bar the youths (U20s) plus Whiteman, McCann, Stewart, Best. Maybe Keane, Mads and Osmajic.
Please let this takeover (a) be true (b) actually happen.
We are bloody shit. Ridsdale / Lowe / Browne, hang your heads in shame.

Leicester as a unit were much closer together though. It just makes things much easier all round especially without any kind of press, which in the rare times Lowe has used it, he's not got it right because he doesn't seem to be his forte.I mean yeah, it would be nice to win the ball up the pitch more often, but the best possession teams are very press resistant, Winks specifically is outstanding at that aspect of the game, knowing where to be to have space, and where to lay it off to.
Additionally, with how wide the CBs are, it makes it much harder for the front players to cut off passing lanes, as they also have to spread wide, so whilst Mads could lock on to Coady, Keane on the other side isn't in a position to help. Brady on the left wants to be tracking Fatawu, because he's a massive threat, but that leaves Pereira as a free man if Osmajic is coming back onto Winks or pressuring the ball carrier.
The problem is largely that whilst you can commit more players forward to go man for man in the press, leaving their wide attackers one on one against our cumbersome wide CBs is a recipe for disaster. Millar was probably stuck on the right because Whatmough's lack of pace in particular was a massive vulnerability.
It's so easy for players like Winks to find space
You could use many teams as an example, not just Leicester, who've had a free 2 thirds of the pitch to receive the ball without any real pressure followed by narrow defending, not trying to stop the cross, then try an block the inevitable shot that comes in.
We've seen it time after time.
One thing AN could do, wads get that press right more often than not, then play off the mistakes the opposition would make. As a unit, you'd be more compact because your further up the pitch but you'd still have 2 holding midfielders if possession was cheaply lost.
With this set up it's lose possession in pretty much isolation, followed by a big gap while they easily move forward.
I'm fuckin sick of it

You may be right. Apols. Just checked when Shaw/Lindsay were in post and it was around the change. Anyhow, a missed opportunity and probably one of many we know nothing about.I thought it was Maurice Lindsay.
We played similarly to the way we played Spurs in the cup. Not an ounce of intent to win the game, with the ultimate aim of keeping the score down. It was pretty clear right from the start that we wouldn’t score, and we still wouldn’t have scored if we’d still been playing now. The team are capable of more, but as for the Manager, words fail me.

Well, it's too late for this season. I think everyone was just numbed by it all last night and just wanted to get away 🙄We made it far far too easy for Leicester yesterday. The defending for their goals was absolutely awful. I don't know who comes out of that game with any credit really. Felt awfully similar to the Spurs game, where we didn't lay a glove on them, showed far too much respect and they steamrolled us. I get Leicester are champions and practically a premier League outfit and their wage bill dwarfs ours, but to only get one shot on target until the 90th minute is ridiculous. Lowe needs to go, and despite saying I'll probably renew my season ticket yesterday, I left the ground seriously considering whether I do or not.
I'm also frustrated at how despondent our fans were yesterday. I get that our season has ended without a whimper, a 9th consecutive season of achieving fuck all... but not a single person was in uproar about the running of the club. When are the protests going to start? 😈

I think your loyalty has been outstanding and commendable......... But eventually reality whacks you round the ear pal. 👍
Filth!Cant remember the last time the fist went up!
will there be a round of applauds from RL for more of the same next season 😅
Yes undoubtedly Leicester have a squad full of players with more skill and technical ability, that is why they are going up as champions.
But what you should have is pride, passion and determination, we showed none of these yesterday, we right from the kick off surrendered, showing no intent or fight or commitment.
Yet another shambolic shoving on live TV a performance which RL set the side up from the off as game containment and damage limitation.
RL has done enough damage to this club, for the future good and to allow the club to endeavour to move on and forward, please do the one honourable thing you can and leave at the season end.
It won't happen, he won't walk away and those in charge would seem happy the we just stagnate for yet another season, what did RL say about progression not long after his tenure commenced.🤔
My oh my!!!!!Yep, blame the setup all you want, but it's not Ryan Lowe who made the players give the ball away repeatedly.
It never ceases to amaze me, the level of dross and shite that some people are prepared to accept and also defend!!!!!!!
Lowe is bloody clueless and Ridsfail brings to football
I wouldn't go that far! Gareths ability for removing every semblance of joy from the beautiful game, is second to none!!!!!!Such turgid football makes you look forward to Southgate's England in the Euros!
Bit of bait down the nearest sewer will sort him outApparently, 'a lad' in the Town End gave him some stick earlier but how insecure must you be when you can't accept a bit of banter, from one person, without reacting like an entitled brat? He's 37 years old and a parent for goodness sake!
Total lack of class from a senior pro. I was hoping a PNE player would 'take him out' after that, but sadly, no-one could get anywhere near him🙄
He celebrates like that against everyone, he tries to generate some sort of rivalry even if there isnt one there, hes a weird blokeApparently, 'a lad' in the Town End gave him some stick earlier but how insecure must you be when you can't accept a bit of banter, from one person, without reacting like an entitled brat? He's fucking wank and needs sacking. It's not just one or the other. Thickos who think one little change will turn us into Man City are beyond deluded.
We have owners that don't want to invest the required amounts to push for a promotion season. He's fucking wank and needs sacking. It's not just one or the other. Thickos who think one little change will turn us into Man City are beyond deluded.
We have a chairman (HA) who refuses to push new business ideas forward and is happy to pretend we are little old Preston in the 80s.
We have a manager and who is so tactically inept that rather than change his formation to suit the players we have he will happily put square pegs in round holes, and then berate said square pegs rather than admit fault
Then we have players who should be performing better than they are but are no means world beaters, but being honest probably only mads and Millar ( not ours) would be starting in teams above us.
The amount of work that needs doing to restructure all this is mind boggling. As @Jack Daniels alluded to earlier, if there is a takeover happening for the love of god let it happen soon.
I have 0 confidence that ANY of our current command structure would be able to handle it

Your last paragraph, historically you are absolutely correct. We have gone nowhere nor even attempted to either because they firmly believe that we are above where we deserve to be. I still can’t get over that statement and the attitude behind it.

It's simple until the people at the top go nothing will ever ever change yeah we want RL to go others to. Hoping something comes of this takeover but no one really knows waiting game again. We have owners that don't want to invest the required amounts to push for a promotion season.

I felt that last night the only advice given to the players was 'Don't make it easy for them'. As a result midfield were overcautious and passed back and sideways too often.....familiar story. Didn't ever take the game to them or make their defenders defend.
As usual players were played out of position. Forwards not supported. Ball moved around far too slowly and predictably. But we know all that already.
A previous poster has said Lowe didn't make the players play badly or pass so poorly. I disagree.
It is because his, THE Badges MANAGER's, tactics are so inept and the players are in the wrong positions and have been told not to make mistakes that the players ARE making mistakes. Lowe does not trust them, they know Lowe does not trust them, and it shows.
I do not trust Lowe to manage our club. He talks a good game perhaps but he has been promoted far beyond his ability as a coach, motivator and manager.
