I think George has done a very good job. He had to ask these questions after the way that window went, and he has done it, and fast too.

Ridsdale for his part has done more than just give him the usual flannel - though there are still plenty of prime Peterisms in there to enjoy.

I'd be excited if we get new owners although I think my delight hinges on who it is and what their plans are

I can't really complain much about our incomings this summer, apart from our failure to bring in a striker to replace Riis and our signings of an Injured player in Thompson... It's actually been decent. Fair play Hecky, Riddler and the Scouting team. Tbf we have done a stellar job in bringing in young loads from the Prem clubs and have done consistently for many years now too.. fair play.
 
I just hope it’s not a false dawn. As long as due diligence is done with the purchasers and PR is not employed by them it’s something to look forward to.

It was only short. 9-10 mins.

Confirmed application for Cat 2 academy has been made. Hoping to have access to indoor facility within next two seasons.

Expressed that he doesn't really understand what a fans forum achieves. Mentioned an "odd individual" whos initials he won't mention tells them how brilliant he is at running a football club. Assume those initials are AW. Paraphrasing of course but basically said the Ben Rhodes fan group thing is better.

He's happy with start to the season and says we'll have a much stronger squad when we come back from the break. Wouldn't read to much into it but said won't see Thompson for "a few weeks", mentioned Mads being back and Potts coming back as well as 3 "match fit" recent additions (Devine, Dobbin, Armstrong).

Interestingly no mention of Brady...perhaps that's a question that George could have asked.

They have done a decent job and 12 new faces is brilliant, then you look at the business of the other teams in our division and it makes you think, well so has everybody else. Most clubs have just spent considerably more money than us and also have 12+ new faces.
