He was unlucky not to score with his first effort,their keeper made a very good save.
Took his other chance really well,a bit of a goal poachers goal getting a little touch on the cross come shot.
Then was very confident taking his penalty, a very good short debut appearance.
 
I’ve been very sceptical of the Erabi deal but he did stood out from his little cameo far more than Milly did over the piece.

A big week for us now. Really need to attack this transfer market and give the manager the tools he needs

We don't need anymore forwards is a big positive. It's strange how the only one who can't see our issue is the one making the decisions. Having said that, he should have brought Lindsay straight on after the brainless moment.

Thompson should only be cover for McCann….it’s embarrassing when they are together.

It was a great effort, keeper did really well to save it. Another day and it sails into the top bag. He took that chance very well and was really unlucky.

He also should have had a stonewall penalty, I’m still shaking my head in disbelief at that one, literally two fouls on him.
 
Hats off to Hecky & the boyz. Scrapped thru on pens. Better 2nd half by North End and new lads Erabi & Burgzorg look ok. League priority though and roll on to Horwich 1230 on Sat hopefully with a win. See who we get next round . Whens draw ?

A big caveat is that I only watched the 2nd half… and it sounds like we were very poor in the first.

But i thought we looked pretty good considering we were 10 men. All us, limited them despite their advantage and new guys came on and had the desired effect.

Considering we should have 4/5 new starters over the coming weeks I’m not as despondent as some.

And it’s a credit to Hecky we got through despite the disadvantage.

We've also started games with one up front, particularly away an its left whoever starts there with too much to do.
There's flexibility there now, 2 absolute brutes in Erabi an Milly, Burgzorg, Lang as a 10 or playin on the shoulder.
Bring in a CB ffs!

Burgzorg also needs credit for attacking with pace and shooting,creating the opportunity that Erabi put away.
He then also confidently took the penalty and scored to win the game and put us into the next round.

You certainly did the right thing ( if inadvertently) watching the second half only.
Agree about the new guys.

But seriously, Erabi a right handful, Burgzorg lively and I was actually impressed with Lang from what I saw in the second half.

Needs recruitments badly and I’m worried for the defensive situation come Saturday and for the season if we don’t get a CB in.

I agree…. We’ve got seem decent attacking players : Devine, Lang, Osmajic, Erabi, Burgzorg and Moran but defensively we need some smart recruitment….

We need a replacement for Whiteman , we need a new CB and a RB if we are gonna play 4 at the back….. in addition to the two wingers of course.

💯 unfortunately have to agree-his tactics of where he thinks our strengths are down the left was targeted successfully as by Huddersfield as our weakness.Continually 2 bad players on the ball (Gibson/Iversen) are left to dawdle on the ball with Iversen finally hoofing up to midgets.Alfie Devine is a free roaming player when effective but instead is structurally tasked to receive from Gibson and be a playmaker🤷‍♂️

Desperate for a CB, I’d suggest our season hinges on it, I hope that’s apparent for the management team and senior figures.

Mills in and Small back gives us options out wide, still wouldn’t mind Campbell if I’m being greedy. And then looking forward to seeing who comes in for Whiteman.

I’d be asking Wilder what he wants for McGuinness and then looking at Gore or Collyer for the middle.
