Again, do the PSC not feed this sort of stuff back? I’ve been banging the drum on it for about nine months.

A quick blast after we’ve won is fine. But pre-match, it should be music worthy of a sporting event.

I didn't think the Huddersfield player was running to the goal to class it as a clear goal scoring opportunity. Yellow card for me.
 
Well, off to bed after a long day but a fun day. Great music in the Cavern at 11:15 and met some good Huddersfield fans in there. Nostalgic walk around Goodison (was a season ticket holder there from age 5-7 before 50p junior whites won over).

Great city is Liverpool. Walked up to the Hill Dickinson. Impressive but just hasn’t the soul. Felt sorry for all the little businesses around Goodison that have been killed off but also sad to see an old ground dieing.

Up the fucking whites.

Disagree. I think that was good management today from PH. Completely changed it at half time which is what you pay your manager to do.

Not his fault Gibson was sent off by a ref who gave every big call the way of Huddersfield.

The standard response to going down to 10 men with a defender sent off is to bring another defender on and take a forward off. He didn’t do that , and ok it was pretty scrappy and poor for the rest of the first half and they got the goal. But we reorganised at half time , Hughes to lb was absolutely the right call, as was bringing Lindsay on. I could not see their spare man anywhere and we dominated. I’m not getting over excited because that was just a decent league 1 team we were up against, and it showed our deficiencies up. Full backs look a priority to me.

Clear through on goal so it’s deffo DOGSO but he’s not done enough to bring him down IMO

Agree with this. Ballsy decision not to kneejerk and throw Lindsay straight on, and ballsy to take off the LB instead of someone like Lang

Not sure why anyone should hate a tune or find it embarrassing? It’s a theme tune from a TV show with a local connection and it’s unique to us. I quite like original tunes played at football grounds ( like z cars at Everton . - though think Watford play it too ).

I find the usual orchestrated tunes more cringeworthy and annoying.

We will never get a song that everyone will agree on, so Im quite happy to keep with this at the beginning and end. Doesn’t need to go in for several minutes , 30 seconds or so does the job.
 
based on today, long season to come, desperately need someone decent in midfield. I am dreading playing wolves.

How many chances that were created did he miss? He got absolutely nothing and I mean nothing to work with. Get a midfielder that can actually thread a ball for him to run on to and his shot on target percentage would suggest he at least get a shot on target.

He didn’t miss any chances I remember.
I actually think we are saying the same thing.

Erarbi came on and made things happen himself. Used his strength and held the ball up on several occasions.
Found space for his 3 chances.
I don’t think we played different when he came on, he MADE the difference
