Midfield still has to be a priority because Thompson is dire. Saturday's performance and the clearly premeditated cowardly kick that could have got him red carded was the last straw!

It's fine saying "He'll be McCann's back up" but McCann misses plenty of games each season and I dread to think that Thompson might start all.of them!

Funnily enough when we was after McConnell I got told by someone from another Champ club’s podcast that we’d expressed interest in Konak.

But following that we decided to pursue McConnell, so I do wonder if we go back for Konak.

Reading Oxford's fans comments on him he sounds similar to McCann in terms of the ground he covers and winning the ball but is also semi-decent in the air and comfortable on the ball, which McCann obviously lacks.

Could be an upgrade.
