Advice needed

Advice needed

It gets worse. She's now stopped me seeing our daughter and stopped replying to my messages about her because I won't commit to an arrangement which won't allow me 1 on 1 time with my other 2 kids. I can't afford a solicitor to sort it.

I honestly feel like drinking a bottle of whisky and going on a very fast drive

Forget the driving.

Could you find a solicitor that offers 30 minutes advice free?
 
I'm sure I could. But then what when they want paying. Because she will stand her ground

Try get an appointment with your local citizens advice, or find an organisation that might be able to help, used to be one called 'Fathers for Justice' or something like that.

I'll have a browse see if I can find some group in Preston, maybe their is one. I don't live 'Up North' so don't know Preston anymore.

Not looked at the information, but this is one.....they don't appear to be free, maybe they can help point you in the right direction.

I don't know how anyone can be as evil as she is. She makes me feel like I don't want to be here.

It's tough I know, but try to keep saying, you matter as well, and things will get better.

Weak?

She’s the weak one. Getting a kick out of hurting others certainly isn’t a strength.

There are laws to protect you and your daughter. Spend sometime researching online, you might find it to be very helpful.

Citzens Advice Bureau. They can definately give you good free advice ( and help you get it elsewhere, too).....part of their website is dedicated to family and access matters.

Getting help with child arrangements​


If you need more help agreeing child arrangements, you can go to mediation. It’s much easier and cheaper than going to court for help.


A mediator is someone who will try to help you reach an agreement together - find out more about going to mediation.


If you’re finding it difficult to make the arrangements, using a child contact centre might help. This is a safe place where your child and your ex-partner can meet or have ‘contact’. This might help if you don’t want to see your ex-partner or would like someone else to be there when the contact happens - find out more about using a child contact centre.


You can also contact your nearest Citizens Advice for help.


The Ministry of Justice has a guide to help you and your ex-partner make the right decisions for your children and agree child arrangements.
