A little bump on this very important and pertinent post
It’s been a rather testing 2024 for myself which offers in moments time to reflect, especially those who are encountering testing times, which I guess throughout our lives that could and probably will be each and everyone
So with no agenda other than good thoughts and prosperity in whatever guise that manifests may I wish each and everyone a best 2025 in whatever manner that can be 👍

I've just posted a shortened version on Facebook as NYE is always a crap night for me, no paticular reason but this year it feels more pertinent.

I hope those of you are celebrating have a good night, be safe, love yourself and be kind.

Likewise. It’s always been a sort of nothing event as far as I’m concerned, mainly I think because of the realisation that a special time of year is over but also because of fear of the coming year. Obviously we should tell ourselves to think positively but it’s easier said than done.

One positive this year is the rain may stop the explosion of what seems like hundreds of pounds of explosive at midnight 😉

Hopefully 2025 turns out to be better for you, I don’t know you away from here but you clearly deserve it.

I have never been big on NYE celebrations and with the weather being as bad as it is, it will be a quiet night in for me and Mrs A.

For those who are joining the NYE festivities , have a great night and stay safe ❤️

Apologies, only just reading this thread.
I hope 2025 has a more positive impact on everyone on the forum and especially JK whose initial post was very open, sad and humbling yet inspiring in its message to many of us, that life certainly has its ups and downs to be overcome and that when going through the bad times we need to search for that light at the end of the tunnel.
It sounds like it has been a truly trying few years for JK but yet he has continued to be the mainstay of PNE online and created a forum that is unique in its form. It has become an on line community and has done some marvelous things to support other worthy causes than the Football side.

In addition there are so many other posts from others that are sad but yet filled with hope that things will get better and shows that a lot of us have suffered ups and downs and either 'got there' or are getting there, or still have hope to do so.

This thread also shows that we are often not alone in our struggles and sometimes its good to reach out.

Yeah..... I'm not a fan of New Year, never have been..all that shaking hands with strangers and the like.....also i have long associated history with bad events happening in January so i really detest Dec to Feb and just want it out of the way. Tbh am feeling terrible today and could easily curl up in a ball and sleep for about 8 weeks....but wish you all the best and whilst i am not exactly the best company right now i am a good listener and it takes my mind off things.

To go into the number of times that awful things have happened between mid Dec and say late Feb over the past 40 years is almost impossible....rest of the years relatively clear but its like a dark force just gives me some bad news every year at this time. Unbelievable really.
