Matchday Thread Bolton Wanderers v PNE | 15.08.26 | KO:12:30pm | Championship

[Gee-Pee-Jay]

Lang what is he supposed to bring to this team I’m still confused 😕

[Bobbage]

Well, um, I hope that was our bad half... 😳

[northender0602]

How was that a free kick to Bolton their player was all over Osmajic

[HemmingsHappyClapper]

2 goals.
3 cards.
1 offside goal.

Yet only 1 min of injury time… hmm

been a shocking ref tbf, he was ready to give the 3rd goal for Bolton too I think. Osmajic just got fouled, which caused him to fall into their player and he gave a foul again him…baffled

[BPIG]

Let's confirm that 34yr old Hughes is never a LB as well, as he got out of our third.

Valentin on the other side is a genuine disgrace. Pay him up.

He moved to CB 3 years ago because he couldn’t cope at LB anymore and here we are starting with him at LB in 2026. Laughable.

[CMYW]

Get Offiah and Leroy on for Pol and Thomson.

[Eric Potts]

Im listening to this on Talk Sport ... " Preston North End : Absolutely useless ... Stone Age football "

[PNE04]

Osmajic, Thompson and Pol off please. This back down to earth performance was inevitable, I knew this would happen. Bolton far better, but we’ve had some almost moments.

[oil-man]

Time for PH to show if he really can hack the job this season. Let's see how we come out second half.

Good question. You could substitute any other Preston players name , ask the same question and still not get an answer!

[Dirty Harry]

Thompson and McCann both off please. Both centre mids, Both on yellows, got red card written all over them.

[Benito]

His same shite tactics too.

Not really. I mean the long ball stuff is tedious and doesn’t work. But ultimately, we’re losing because the players (defenders mostly) he said couldn’t play 4 at the back are proving they definitely can’t.

[Doyler]

Well that was gash. But both teams have had two good chances - they scored theirs and we fumbled ours.

I’ll be dead before I boo my own team though. 45 minutes to go - can’t say I’m too hopeful!

[SF]

Called it before the game, and somehow got shit for it. Genuinely the worst PNE XI I've seen in the second tier.

[Yoowell]

Offiah for Pol and Leroy for Thompson at half time as a minimum.

This has to happen bare minimum.
That 45 was an absolutely embarrassment.

[Hoz ']

This refs giving us fuck all

Why should he, he knows we are shite and wanting handouts

[thepro]

2 goals.
3 cards.
1 offside goal.

Yet only 1 min of injury time… hmm

I'm sure it was a foul for a push and not offside for what the goal was disallowed for. And not so sure was much of a foul at all

[fishwick2009]

Surely he has to change things in the second half

[Izanohair]

Shocking half of football, second to every ball very disappointing after the positivity yesterday.

[PNE-Chris]

The issue of changing formation without the tools to do so.

One goal can change the game, let’s hope it does.
