Club Takeover/Investment

even Superman would be confused and disturbed at this Thread right now

Couldn't agree more. I would be happy if Zedan wants Penrose involved in his new club management.

We all know Ridsdale will be gone straight away through his ineptness for over 10 years.
I think it would be vital to have him round the club he’s been a breath of fresh air. He worked PR out in days hence he was isolated from most discussion.

No fan of Peter but I doubt Penrose has any interest in talking to Talksport around transfers or anything
Maybe but from the start when Craig employed him and did the interview with Mellor .he is and was a fan from way back that says a lot and most importantly his contacts within the gaming industry got to were we are now .what as ridsdale done ..we're are his loyaltys ..I still firmly think it's Leeds ...

Ridsdale didn't want the zedan Deal .And neither did zedan want ridsdale ...Fact.All these 10+years as Advisor he invited the fraud Kirchner ..nothing else coz he wanted his own power at the club so when Craig employed penrose .to find him a buyer he has delivered and by that as pushed ridsdale way down the ladder

This is probably why they say that you should never walk underneath ladders.

Paint the walls before you sell ?
Or simply the movement of money, clever old people are accountants

Nearly.
You agree 200k with a buyer for the price of your house. But its walls are badly in need of repainting.
Before the sale completes and you are still living there you agree with the buyer that you will paint them all a nice shade of blue , spending 5k on the job.
The buyer agrees that’s saved him a job he was going to do anyway so he now agrees to pay 205k. It’s really cost you nothing.
That , I believe, is what is going on here.

A different way of looking at it, and one that makes a bit of sense if you consider other factors - tin foil hat time.

I've seen others suggest that the takeover has been delayed November, therefore we have no chance of Zedan and/or his people running the club this window.

Assuming Zedan remains interested, since we can have no confirmation otherwise, perhaps he has stipulated that in order to remain committed, he would like the club to stop being operated as it presently is (ie, the IOM funding the club up to their own self-imposed budget, rather than the actual FFP/SCR limit), which includes funding the current transfer window.

Maybe not maxing it out, because then the new ownership couldn't do anything when they come in without selling assets first, but obviously more than the couple of transfer fees paid, cheap early frees secured and customary loans that we have survived on for years.

The instalments in the future would be Zedan's responsibility, but say he has agreed to up the purchase price if it helps encourage some summer spending on his behalf.

Certainly would marry up with the rumblings we heard about Zedan wanting the club to kick on in January whilst sat in the playoffs.

Maybe Zedan is staggering the payments for purchasing the club to the start of each season. If the club is relegated to league 1, the value of the club decreases and therefore the money Zedan would pay would decrease.

On the reverse, if we get promoted without being relegated within the staggered payment period Zedan would pay a bonus to the Trust. If the infrastructure for the Premier League was already in place.

This would explain the unprecedented spending by the Trust. On undersoil heating pipes being installed, the pitch upgrade and the additional expenditure on the squad.

Must admit I was a little disappointed not to get a trophy for passing 300 "angry" reactions the other day.

Thought it was at least worth a rosette or summat? Gutted.

That's a milestone anyone would be proud of.
