But to be fair, for the being point made about how we've been run - and how we never made profit on players under the "old" regime - ignoring such a recent sale is completely justifiable. We already seem to have one foot in a new world.

Oh it is. And that's partially through an abject failure to cash in on players when we should have.

But saying we haven't made a profit on a sale since Robinson is just a lie at this point and lying undermines the point by making the poster look less credible.

(We also have a few very small sales and academy sales in that time too)

Technically, it wasn't completely true - but to call it a lie? Goodness me.

Agreed
The £8.49 budget has never really suggested stratospheric ambitions
The budget is the budget, and that is perfectly fine.

But deliver on what you promise. Don't say "the plan simply changed" about the promised state of the art training ground or hide behind "bad luck and KMIs" when our lower end budget hasn't seen us reach the play-offs.

Under promise and over deliver. Don’t shout your fat cakehole off about ambitions at season ticket selling time, and then whine that "some fans expect us to be in the Premier League" when our threadbare squad can't handle the pace of being flogged to death without quality rotation options.

I mostly agree with you but I've never understood the hate about the "Premier Member" campaign. It's just basic marketing, not a "promise" as such.

Interesting there is a IFR update from the 14th August which is till yet to be published. Usually publish the decision within 3-4 days. Almost hitting a week. Only a few decisions went on longer and upto a week.

Probably not ours, thought I’d point it out

It's not interesting. The "update" was that they'd forgotten to change the "last updated" date when they did the Gateshead determination, so corrected it the next day.

I corrected myself below the post.
Yes, apologies, let's all get the bunting out and acknowledge the single profit following dozens of failures. By the way, it tuned in a profit because he wanted to leave and not because it was shrewd business.

I dont disagree. As mentioned above, it just makes you look bad when you have to lie to make your point.

Really? Is that what it’s come to on here? I am a liar because of an error about a single player?
If we can’t make a point without having honesty questioned, you can count me out of bothering again.

Because it's not been true for ages? If you want to be taken seriously, at least have a think before you spew stuff out, it's not hard.

We also sold Diaby, Whatmough, Slater and Mawene off the top of my head. Whiteman is just the most egregious one.

Is it a profit though? If you add his wages in it will actually be a loss. Also the % to Doncaster.

I don't think it looks good when you work out profit and loss on the back of a fag packet, especially when you don't have all the facts to start with.
The one thing we can be sure of though is that our player trading has been quite poor compared with most others.
