Davis preferred candidate and Proctor to return (LEP)

We should know by the end of next week. That is about the only reasonably sure thing at the moment. Right now I am tending towards giving Alexander/Unsworth the job until the end of the season. They know the squad and the players seem to want to play for them.

He still had a very average record, he wasn't a proven manager when he took over like a previous poster had said. From the January he was made Hull manager he had 2 good years, followed by 18 months where he had a bad record. Along with 7 bad months at Derby before he took over at Hull. Hardly fantastic record.

Have I said I am a better fan??? Or have I said I will support my team no matter who is charge and not spit my dummy out because my choice for manager was not chosen?

Absolute bollocks. I'm sorry mate but your last 5 or 6 posts on this thread are amongst the worst I have seen on here and that's saying something.

Billy Davies inherited some good players yes, but we had good players at the club last season and look what happened. If he had been in charge last season we would have been challenging for the Play Offs not relegated. His teams are organised, hard working, they press the ball and force mistakes out of the opposition then take their chances when they come.

Since he left you cannot argue that we have gone downhill. Irvine got us into the Play offs but there was more than an element of luck about it and ever since we have gone downhill. Davies is the best manager we have had for years and I can't believe anyone could argue otherwise.

It was promotion form. You can have a club rock bottom of the league, if they win 10 in 10 games, THAT is promotion form.

Billy Davies, the man with 5 play-off finishes in 5 full seasons in charge of a football club at Championship Level, could not turn this around, seriously?

You complain about him not acheiving promotion with the side he inherited. Please, tell me how we'd done in the league the two seasons before he'd joined.

You complain his football was boring. WE WON FOOTBALL MATCHES YOU PLEBS. I'm sure you'd rather turn up and appreciate another team dicking on us 4-1 then seeing a grafted out 1-0 win.

You complain that he can not be trusted, we have no idea what would be implemented into his contract.

You complain that he's only ever acheived one promotion, yet you don't mind leaving Unsworth in charge, remind me how many he has again?

You all are still pissed off with the way he left, face it. You can't bare the thought of having to let go of your grudges. Sorry lads, its time to move on.

I'd blow her bloody head off with a 12 bore but i'd take Davies back though.......Although i would love it to work out for Alexander/Unsworth,but something is telling me they won't be upto it,hope i'm wrong though.
