Maybe throw the ball instead. Or better still coach a competent replacement

That's one of the things that infuriates me most about this godawful wingback system instead of fullbacks and wingers.

How often did we used to see moves started with Graham Alexander receiving a short roll out from the keeper and advance with the ball knowing there were options of a pacy winger ahead, a ball inside to a quality holding midfielder or a long diagonal to a decent target man...

Have we found the probelm

Nothing more than a diversionary tactic. Ask someone to let slip that there’s an issue in the ranks, knowing full well that the fans will take it and run with it - work themselves up into a fury about it - thus buying the hierarchy even more breathing space. It’ll either be complete nonsense or taking a minor issue that exists in the great majority of workplaces and giving it a degree of importance it doesn’t deserve.

I wouldn't put any stock in that account. At best, its some lonely freak that likes to think he's Peter Ridsdale's 'special friend', at worst its a Lasher on a very dedicated windup. Looking at how the squad all piled on to Devine, it didn't look like there was much in the way of ill-feeling

Would that be after he threw the ball.in the net against Wrexham?

Gibson didn't play in that game. He was injured for a change.

Which is partly the reason we idiotically left a useless "striker" with zero defensive instincts to man mark Keiffer Moore who gave him a completely free run and jump against the goalkeeper instead of doing something to block him or even, you know, competing for a header...

What could possibly go wrong?

I did hear a whisper that Thompson and Kenny had a fall out in training.
Whilst I think its unlikely, I posted after the game that the other players must hate having Thompson as a teammate with how much time he spends throwing his arms in the air and screaming at others whilst completely failing to do anything he's in the team to do or really contribute much at all. High standards for everyone else but not himself
