Is Armstrong the highest value player to play for north end at the time of playing?
Watched Alvarez playing for Real, this week. First of all Id have never imagined that happening but 2nd, I suspect his value has now gone through the roof, especially as he was one of their star players.

You'd assume Gordon and Armstrong would be worth similar amounts, both were considered Everton's brightest prospect. Gordon was in more of a premium priced position though.

From my recollection (might be wrong!) , Gordon hadn’t proved himself to the extent that Armstrong had before coming here - and he didn’t really shine massively when here. I do think the answer to Esal09’s question is definitely YES. By a significant margin.

Was chatting to a few Everton season ticket holders at the works Christmas do and all we’re asking how he was getting on as rumours are growing they will be taking him back in January and talking to them just reminded me how little most premiership teams fans follow other football as most thought we were in league one

Armstrong would be slaughtered for the mistakes he made today if he did them in a Premier League game. Including from Everton fans. He could easily become a scapegoat.

He has to learn, away from the spotlight and scrutiny of the PL.
He is a superb played but not above making a few mistakes..,....yet.

I thought I'd read, that Moyes himself had said, that he is here for the season.

Only been in the Championship for the past 11 seasons so they haven’t had chance to catch up yet.🙄

The couple of games that he tired before his injury, the injury itself and the two nutmegs today should mean that we have him for the season. Result.

That’s only come from someone who said they got it second hand though. Would take it with a pinch of salt. KDH pulling his hamstring today doesn’t help our chances. Another injury in midfield for them in the next couple of weeks and it’s curtains for us.

That woukd be a bummer if it were to happen 😕

.........considering they didn't even know what division we were in, I'd question the validity of the info - nothing to worry about, he's staying - they probably also think Howard Kendall is their manager.

The other issue Everton have to consider is whether North End go and pick somebody else up if they recall him. If we’re not prepared to wait the whole month to get him back and go and loan another CM, he’s then stuck at Everton for the rest of the season getting very little gametime and no development

Really twitchy period coming up here I reckon.

The best thing for Harrison is to keep him on loan. He’s playing every week, starting games for a winning side and learning so much more than just substitute appearances here and there.

But, that’s a honking injury/absence list in midfield for Everton and I reckon he could be under pressure numbers wise to recall him. The KDH injury is the worst possible news at the worst possible time.

I guess we’ll just have to trust the custodians to bring in an adequate replacement, should Harrison be recalled. They did a decent job with all the other loanees, so hopefully they could do it again. Hopefully, he’ll stay but there’s not much we can do about it with him not being our player.
