Correct as far as I’m concerned. He’s already played for Everton before joining us in at least in the league cup anyway. On a technical point, if Everton recalled him and played him, am I right in thinking that he could only play for them and us for the remainder of the season? (So couldn't be loaned out to another club if their injury crisis somehow improved)
Think there's a rule where a player cannot play for 3 clubs within a season but may have got that completely wrong.
Confirmed Harrison Armstrong joins on loan from Everton.

I can’t imagine a scenario where Everton would loan him out anywhere other than North End. He’s doing great here.
I'm sure Armstrong himself would fancy the opportunity to have a crack at the prem so early but fingers crossed they let him see out his loan

Yep. Hence why I suggested trying to bluff Everton to see if they’re willing to stunt his development for the sake of like two gamesOn a technical point, if Everton recalled him and played him, am I right in thinking that he could only play for them and us for the remainder of the season? I’m told all parties still want him to remain here.I'm sure Armstrong himself would fancy the opportunity to have a crack at the prem so early but fingers crossed they let him see out his loan
Moyes openly said he wants him to develop here but recent events mean he may be forced in to recalling. What he said today could also be calling the boards bluff to spend this window.
HA and his team really want to stay and develop, they know he could get some games this January but also know come the end on January he will likely be back to sub appearances.
HA is not pushing for a return! His team are not pushing for a return.

And that’s all we can do. It would be a shame if he’s to go back but that’s the line you run with loans. We'll see
HA and his team just hopes what ever decision is made is the one best for his career and they’re not actively pushing for the recall but it’s not his or his teams call at the end of the day.
Deadline of midway/first 2 weeks of the window for the recall to happen.
Have Everton not got players in the 18 to 20 odd age group that play in Armstrongs position?
If he is better than all of them maybe they have someone who we could borrow instead.

Like Armstrong said in his interview with us "Whoever makes a decision on his loan spell that it's in the best interest of his career" as a Preston fan watching him develop you would have to say that is with us because lets face it as soon as Evertons players return from injury and AFCON then he will just be sat around all for the sake of a 2/3 games. Hope he stays and develops.

Its not ideal but him going back there just for January and then coming back after AFCON and the injuries wouldn't be so bad. If a little unorthodox.
There's every chance he plays and does really well mind depending on who theyre up against.
A midfield 3 of whiteman, McCann and Devine is solid enough for us.

I'm honestly not worried about this in the slightest. (of course I'm worried about losing him) but I'm not worried in the tiniest bit about him being recalled in January,
I honestly don't believe Moyes will recall him.
1. He's well aware he's probably another 6 months off premiership football, and hes excelling here.
2. He's a north end fan lets be honest, he's looked after us a few times in the past.
3. He wont pull the rug from under us when this is arguably the closest we've been in circa 20 years.
4. He's never going to come out to the media and outright say no, he's not going to recall him, so what's the next best option just say I'll consider it, which is totally fair,
but in my honest opinion, Moyes will have already identified targets for 6 months he can loan, so we can keep Harrison.
We need to chill out I think 🙂 He's going no where in January.
PS: lets hope this doesn't come back to bite me lol!
You can hope …, as we all can.

If he does go he’ll be warming the bench. Moyes doesn’t do youth players unless he has to, which is why he currently has the worst winger in the league in Dwight McNeil playing out of position instead of 40m Tyler Dibling
At least we know he’ll be recalled early because they won’t want him cup tied

What's the official recall date window opening?

Team v Sheff Wed. So many variables. Start the thread. Start the thread!Jan 1st 00:01 to Jan 14th 23:59
Everton only have 2 league games (Brentford and Wolves at home) from the 1st January - 18th January, which is incidentally the final of AFCON. Hopefully they think they can manage for a couple of easier games with their current options and Senegal get dumped out early.
Even if he does go back briefly, the only league games we have before the 17th are Sheffield Wednesday on New Years Day (unlikely to be recalled straight away) and Bristol City on the 4th.
We should manage if he’s guaranteed to come back. Hopefully common sense prevails.
