Do you think that the gap from Welsh / Keane to Davies / Garner of about 60 odd yards with 2 Wingers out wide about 30 yards away gives us a good balance, strength and territorial positioning in the centre of the park?

This is my whole bloody point and a point that MKD took on board and exploited last weekend. They murdered us in the 2nd half.

How can anyone disagree and/or not see that we are leaving a massive gap in midfield?

Unless you love both Welsh and Keane hoofing the ball over this "PNE no mans land"?

Still, having a concern about the way we set up is frowned upon on here.

It's your vantage point and by that virtue who can argue - what we can do though surely is presume that Grayson can see what all of us shower can ?
The biggest issue is he is clearly changing things slowly making sure that each change works, then move on to problem number two - timely but my preferred style, unlike the idiot we had prior who changed everything in one go with a result of chaos.

Yes, well, all I can do is attend the games and hope for the best.

Frustrates that we have a decent L1 squad but we still have a problem in the attacking part of the midfield. One of Welsh or Keane - not fussed which - needs to be benched so that this gap upfield can be plugged.

Then things, imo, might start moving as we ALL want them to.

I take on board what you're saying JD. I would think that SG has also spotted this and would hope that he puts this right sooner rather than later.

I also feel that patience is needed while SG sorts it out. He's got plenty of experience both as a player & manager, plus the likes of Hume & Davies will probably offer some constructive advice to find a cure.

When SG was signed up, a couple of Hudds fans did warn us about his safety first approach & it appears that they're proved right so far. I've always felt that a two man attack should be no more than 10-12 yards apart with a man behind as link up. Call it 4-3-1-2 if you like, but for me with the players we've got, they basically should be able to play any formation to suit the style we adopt for the opposition. After having said that I think PNE should make a statement of intent and throw the kitchen sink at anybody & everybody.
 
We've played 3 games FFS!!! IQ level on here is clearly low. Albertan posted an eloquent and pertinent comment, why try to take the piss just because he's a pne exile?!

Summed up perfectly or maybe Grayson should be sacked and we can all help pick the team and dictate the tactics.It'll save Trev paying a managers wage and because we obviously all know what there is to know about the game, we'll be promoted by Christmas.
 
MK Dons played 4-5-1.

If we'd lined up like that at home there'd have been riots, yet it worked and we were outnumbered in midfield especially in the second half when we tried to be attacking with the introduction of Wroe.

You implied that that I was referring to people saying he should be sacked.
Just to be clear, I was making a sarcastic statement in that because we are, on this forum, such a fountain of knowledge when it comes to all things connected with PNE then maybe the manager should be sacked and we should be his replacement.

I'd read the rest of the thread after my last post and saw the word sacked mentioned a couple of times and responded without reading yours.

How can I be paranoid when I've not posted anything remotely close to sacking Grayson other than in sarcasm to try and show how brainless and knee jerk some on here are.
Maybe read a thread next time before trying to play the I'm cleverer than you are card....cha

You're paranoid because you are convinced that he was referring to you, but he wasn't. It isn't rocket science.
