I'm sure when he was on the pitch he was constantly tormented by the sheer horror of living in leafy, middle class Poulton hence why he never looked much of a player.

Still no more on Hayes potential move to Pride Park.

Seems you guys don't seem too bothered to him go.

Pay peanuts, get monkeys springs to mind with the way things are at Derby at the minute. Rams fans expect to sign superstars, but that will never happen in a million years.

He came to us with a lot of hype after his prolific partnership with Hooper but he has never looked that fit to be honest.

He is also very, very slow.

He'd probably do a job in League One though so I'd keep him on the books and see how he fairs next season.

Yeah, our good times are firmly over as well, hence Leon Clarke up front.

I'd be lying if I said you were getting anything other than a very poor striker. A bit like Mellor without the waistline but without the odd goal too.
 
To be honest, Derbys good times are hardly great. 🙁

Any player that saw the pile of c**p on TV last Friday v Leicester would have thought I ain't playing in that team... Derby were awful.

Also, Jamie Ward just signed from Sheff Utd.... in his first interview on Rams Player he was asked what made you want to come to Derby? Jamies reply was 'it was my only option'.... frickin great!!!

Jamie Ward is an idiot.

Did you see his 'performance' in the Play-Off Final against Burnley? Came on as a sub to try and grab a goal to get Sheff United back in the game but what did he do? Handballs it and gets sent off with in minutes. Useless.
 
Does not surprise me, Cloughs purchases have not exactly been great, but his hands are tied to a degree as the owners don't seem to want to spend any £££.
Anyway, thats for another thread on a Derby forum! LOL

Hayes & Ward up front.... doesn't exactly put a spring in your step does it!! 🙁
 
Let's hope he's not going to be one of the many who underperformed at Deepers then went on to shine elsewhere. Having said that, I never saw anything in him to tickle the fancy, but then again, I'm only a supporter.
 
I would happily drive Hayes to Derby or any other place as long it keeps him out of our team. He was a disgrace yesterday. No skill, no idea on positioning and couldnt keep hold of the ball on the odd occasion that he was not offside. Talk about stealing a wage!
