Hayes To Derby???

Hayes To Derby???

I would happily drive Hayes to Derby or any other place as long it keeps him out of our team. He was a disgrace yesterday. No skill, no idea on positioning and couldnt keep hold of the ball on the odd occasion that he was not offside. Talk about stealing a wage!

We were 10 times better going forward when Paul Hayes came on in place of that joke Eddie Johnson.

His battling down the left hand side kept QPR penned in quite a bit.

The game turned around when he came on yesterday.

Would our UEFA indoctrinated coach like to tell us all precisely what Hayes did to turn the game around? Snigger. Bleedin' hilarious.

It's weird, I don't think he played well. But when he came on we did look more threatening. He certainly didn't lose the ball as quick as Johnson did, which brought Ellington (who was excellent yesterday) into the game more. He also won a few headers as well.

Again, I don't think he played well. But we did play better when he came on.

I was listening to the BBC Radio London commentary yesterday and both the presenters said as soon as Hayes came on that he made a difference by pulling away from Ellington and thereby giving him a bit more time and space. I wouldn't deny that Hayes has generally been disappointing since he arrived but at the same time it has been obvious that he needs the right sort of partner in order to make an impression - someone with pace and strength i.e. someone like Ellington, which Hayes' guile and cleverness can complement. Parkin did not have the pace and Hume does not have the physical presence. Ideally, of course, we need Hume and Ellington up front, so where that leaves Hayes is another matter.

You seem to be the only one who does not recognise that our play improved upon the introduction of Hayes. You must be completely clueless and so lacking in football nous not to have recognised this.

He still looks like he's running through custard, therefore hardly the future of PNE is he?

Hayes was poor, as I have previously acknowledged in another thread, but I am pointing out the obvious to the idiotic Voldemort who did not see it due to football myopia, that Hayes' introduction coincided with the improvement in our play.

Hayes only looked good because Johnson was so bad. Hopefully Hume will be back for Tuesday. He and Ellington are head and shoulders above the other strikers.

Hayes didn't look good. It was the team performance which looked good after Hayes came on. Hayes needs to move on.

Hayes may not have pulled up any trees this season, but he's still an improvement on Johnson, just what he's supposed to bring to the table I haven't a bloody clue.
My pecking order would go 1. Hume (please get fit soon) 2. Ellington 3. Hayes 4. Proctor 5. Clarke 6. C Brown (on crutches/or in wheelchair) 7. Me 8. Johnson.

Bottom line is the defence is getting it together, the midfield is average, but the forward line is awful....Get Hume fit and back and ship Hayes out and bring in a quality striker on loan and maybe just maybe we can still make it happen. I am confident we will beat the Dingles.

NIGEL Clough is hopeful of adding at least one more new face to Derby County's squad ahead of tomorrow's home game against Hull City.

The Rams have their sights on landing PrestonNorth End's 27-year-old striker Paul Hayes on loan, as reported in the Derby Telegraph last week.

Derby have a couple of strikers in mind but Clough is also looking to bolster his options in defence.

"We're in discussions with Preston about Paul Hayes and there is another striker as well. We might choose between them, or we might splash out and take them both," said Clough.

"Hopefully, we can do something before Tuesday.

"We started speaking with the clubs a week or so ago, so we hope it just a case of agreeing the terms.

I don't think it's good business to loan a player to a team who could still get dragged into the mix.

Derby have gone seriously downhill since they sold Chris Commons who was as influential to Derby as Adam is to Blackpoo!

There are so many teams just above us playing shit. It's just a shame that we can't put a a few wins together.

Don't you get it. Hayes would be a hindrance to Derby so we definitely want the clown er em I mean the Brazilianesque centre forward to join them. After all, as many commented after he came on V QPR, he will transform the team beyond recognition.
