Heckingbottom

The major thing that they have in their favour is that they don't have Man U, City, Liverpool and Everton on their doorstep.
Could we not use this as an advantage, in terms of having local access to loan players and developing them as was the case with Harrison Armstrong ?

In normal circumstances you would say yes but the top loan players will be out of our budget in the main with the loan fees and wage contributions. Add in the pitch the past few seasons and the turgid football we play top teams won’t want to send top prospects to us

To be fair, has made some saves and kept us in games we've drawn. I don't think many if any results would of been different with Iverson.
I dread to think of the abuse Iverson would be getting with these results, A keeper needs defenders in front of him to not many stupid errors like ours have.

My biggest grip is this playing out from the back and fucking around. We shit at it, so why we keep doing it. Then we revert to hoof out to anywhere, instead of long passes etc.
And not keeping someone near the halfway line on corners. Opposition do when we are defending them and it comes straight back, when we are taking them it doesn’t come back because no one is there.

I've just read his interview from today - talk about not reading the room! Apparently fans should be backing the team and not overreacting to a few bad results. I'm not there with wanting him out yet, but it's beginning to feel (and sound) a lot like it did under his predecessor.

Getting behind that performance at Ewood for instance wasn’t the easiest of things to do to be fair to those of us who were there.

We weren't top in Dec, but our fall from 4th to midtable is not dissimilar to Walsall's plummet down League 2. They had one win in 11. We've managed one in 12.

Important game for Hecky tonight

I can't listen to his comments anymore... honestly don't know were we can get another 3-4 points needed to stay up PH already talking summer & pre season...read the room ? Are you.joking he needs to read the fixture list and the table...if we do stay up get rid of him at end of season
I genuinely find him as dislikable as Lowe. A condescending bastard who thinks he can do no wrong.

Agree with all that and starting to think the same too.

I've sat behind the dugouts a few times and he seems unhinged at times. Throwing stuff around, kicking things over, squaring up to opposition benches, a number of embarrassing FA charges and touchline bans etc etc.

He takes the dark arts to a whole other level too.

Folk can probably forgive all that if we win and are successful but we aren't are we.

Think if he was as flash & Scouse as Lowe then he wouldn't have had the easy ride he's been getting. The problem is PR didn't want to sack Lowe and did it a year too late. Be the same here

Sounded rattled on the latest interview. Given the run we've been on you don't want your manager to sound blase I know but you do want him to sound like there is a plan. Seems to be following the PR path of detailing various unfortunate events that have conspired against us during recent games. I'd prefer the manager to be looking more at why we've been playing so poorly recently; individual games can be won and lost due to marginal events which often you can't control but you can try and influence performances.

Walsall had a similar fall last season too.

Not much of an improvement, but it's 1 win in 10 for us. Likely to be 1 in 11 after today. But if it was 12 games then we'd be 3 wins in 12.

The cunt alarm bells rang for me when he started asking the journalist at the start of the season if they had 10m a year to finance the club.

It's the argument of a thick cunt. Because the answer is no but the answer isn't no for every single member of the population of the world...or PNE have magically found the only owner they ever will have. The Hemmings family are not the only custodians PNE will ever have, obviously.

It's also an issue that goes back much, much further before his time here from the moment Trev ripped off the shareholders.

He has no grasp of that because he had no connection to us. Which means he should shut the fuck up and manage the first XI.

It's fairly difficult to tell whether the blame lies with manager or players. We have quite a contingent of players who have been with us for some time. Perhaps that group of players control the dressing room and the players are no longer playing for the manager.

If we do survive which I'm sure we will, and Hecky stays on would you trust him to carry out further squad surgery over the summer?

We had a pretty decent summer window last year with perhaps only Smith to be a poor signing, and questions over Walton as no 2 keeper.

I'm undecided personally at the moment but would need to see big improvements over the remainder of the season starting tonight.

Just recently he has ceased to get an easy ride and opinion is turning.
To be honest things this season were going well up to the Bristol City game but have since fallen off a cliff edge.
He is beginning to look like a haunted character to be honest.
