Heckingbottom

Need to see that corner flag picture on the website tomorrow. Had enough.
That's all very well - but (a) who replaces him as "manager", and (b) how does it sit with you that the hierarchy get the heat taken off them because 90% of the support suddenly only care about who the next "manager" is going to be?

I tried to argue this point when Ryan Lowe "resigned", to no avail. It's just rinse and repeat and the whole process sets us back rather than moving us forward.

It is just the way football works. The buck stops with the manager with things start going bad

I totally agree. The board haven't had heat on them in the history of their appalling reign here.

I have heard one Ridsdale out chant in my time going on and it was by a smattering in the Bill Shankly against Plymouth as we seemingly sleep walked into oblivion.

What really fucks me off is when they put together a media package with the new manager walking in slow motion, speaking over the top about his aims and everyone goes 'this guy is really different to the last one'.

It's laughable how shite we are at actually getting these fucking cunts out of the club.

I hope the heat persists on the hierarchy even if there’s a change of manager.

Agree it’s rinse and repeat and I don’t have a better suggestion for who replaces him. But that’s not my job.

Ultimately the players look mentally checked out and the manager has to cop some responsibility too.

I know it's been pointed out already but even Ryan Lowe has a higher win percentage. The football is arguably worse as well yet there's still some people who think we shouldn't be aiming criticism at the manager.

🤐

.....which is why I've deliberately framed "manager" in quotation marks. If we're going to move forward, roles need to be defined properly. The current model PNE work by isn't fit for purpose.

And if your "manager" can't manage in-game, and can't converse effectively with the media, then those roles need to be delegated to somebody else, surely?

The problem isn't what happens on the pitch, it's so much wider than that now.

The backing thing is a soft excuse. Was given over 3m to spend in Jan, including every penny from the players he wasn’t using (a luxury never afforded to previous managers) and he chose to spend it on a player he refuses to use and another made of class. That’s on him, not the owners.

The problem is the hierarchy are utterly impervious. There’s nothing we can say or do to sting them. They couldn’t give a fuck what we think.

The only levers we have to pull are either not buying a ticket or getting rid of the most influential person available.

I presume Craig “the fan” Hemmings is still in attendance. Not sure on any of the others but the non footballing people in the trust and the overall leader of it Revitt I would be surprised they even know if PNE are playing nevermind what the crowd reactions are like and if they are chanting for them to sell.
Should put the club up for sale for a token £1 and no debt and let a new owner come in now access the club top to bottom for the rest of the season and start ripping it up and starting again with everything in the summer.

Seasons a write off again. Sack him for everyone’s sake, including his. Bring in an interim to bring a bit of positivity for the end of the season. Sell the club!!! Then together under a new ownership we can try and move forward

Whenever he goes, if Ridsdale is still choosing, it’ll absolutely be Alexander. 5 at the back and club legend

Eric Ramsay will be on the shortlist, Michael Skubala (although their promotion will scupper that one), Alan Sheehan too.

The owners chose Hecky because he's a 3-5-2 man - they said this at the time.
I would say it was Peter who choose the manager as he runs the club and picked him as he plays 3-5-2 and that means less player.p upheaval with the pitiful budget and less work for him.

Doubt the owners care who is manager, what formation he plays, if it is turgid or not. It is a case of stay on the league this is your budget, get relegated your new budget is this.

This formation is dull; footballers and supporters hate it and we'll never challenge higher up the league playing it.

Just a plan B would be something - successful PNE managers like Grayson and Neil could select a formation for the game in question

Id take Grayson till end of the season happily. Far better man manager.
