Hecky will walk!

Hecky will walk!

The 'fucking pathetic' transfer budget is predicted on many things but also the fact we've got Pete running the show and setting the direction. You can criticise how the money is spent, what it's spent on, the lack of any strategy or plan other than just let Pete crack on with it, but to criticise the overall investment by the owners as 'tight cunts' is fucking embarrassing. As I said have a coffee.

They don't invest enough for us to push for the prem and if not what's the point.........you daft cunt 🤣🤣

I’m sure with the contacts PH & SMc have and no doubt OOC players becoming available elsewhere in the summer I think they will let the current OOS players in the squad leave.

People are really leaning into the January transfer window.

But our budget for the season is famously set at the start and doesn't change.

And we had no serious interest in free agents in September because "the money has gone".

Any bits of cash left over are being wisely invested in contract extensions as we speak.

So I think we're going to be one-out/one-in and cash neutral in January - before we can buy, we'll need to sell.
The only flaw in this otherwise quite brilliant plan from Peter is that nobody wants to buy any of our players, unless we count paying their contracts up as a sale.

Heckingbottom’s first 11 league games:
Won 3. Drawn 5. Lost 3.
14 goals scored. Conceded 15.

Lowe’s first 11 league games:
Won 5. Drawn 5. Lost 1.
Scored 13. Conceded 8.

Those numbers don’t scream the previous manager was clueless and the current one a genius. They tell me that changing the manager is futile whilst the fundamental issue - the playing squad - remains the same for fucking years on end.

When will people realise a manager can only do so much with a squad like ours. Maybe Ryan Lowe and his staff were doing a half decent job after all…guiding this shower of shit to consecutive top half finishes. I’d snap your hand off for a 10th place finish if you offered it now.

Some of the treatment Lowe got here was nothing short of disgraceful.

And I reckon we’ll hear murmurs of dissent against the current manager by Christmas. And the criticism will really pick up in the new year. You can chart the North End managerial lifestyle like clockwork.

The January window can’t come quick enough. Frankly, the end of the season can’t come quick enough.

It will be aimed at Risdale before heckinbottom

Think if given a choice, I don’t think that Hecky would renew any players OOC this summer. (Maybe bar one in Lindsay)

But being realistic the club aren’t going to give the investment needed to replace so many players.

Hence why some of these players who don’t deserve a contract will get one, just for the sole reason the club won’t want to spend to replace.

Not sure how it’ll go down with Hecky, but my god he needs to be backed in these windows, because the current state of affairs is dire.

We don’t want to buy in January because the budget is gone for this season. If they are forced to increase the budget then to keep us in this league they will not be happy. Even if we get relegated next summer when they will have to replace several players the budget would have to be increased quite a bit again. I’m glad it has come to this because now the owners are going to reap what they have sewn over the years through their Advisor’s actions, serves them right.

Without any players leaving first, we only have one senior Player place available at this moment in time, in our 25man squad. So I believe that this is a big problem that the board haven’t thought through or planned for. Like having a pro active mind. Instead they seem to like a reactive set of people.

Ched could come of the list immediately he was only put on it to fill a space imo, that’s how tin pot cheap skate we are.

Unless it’s the dubious decision to turn down £8M for a player, in which case that’s wholly the managers fault.
Still drives me mad, that. In hindsight it looks worse by the match.

I bet even if we did sell Riis we’d have barely invested a penny back in. Probably would have picked up a Jayden Stockley Mk II for 500k.

Only the one though, heaven forbid we hedge our bets by signing several lower league punts.

I am certainly not PR. I think you have missed my point though. They are in the financial position they are in because of successful business ventures so why lose it to finance a loss making one? Who makes money out of football? Look at the debts of Man Utd and others.

Promoted championship clubs. They make a bomb.

But you are right. Stagnating at this level is the most sure fire way to lose a lot of money in football.

So why are we doing it?

Good point. But why should they distribute any profit from other ventures into a loss making PNE?

They have no obligation to I suppose. I just think if we knew it might put their generosity into some context. I guess we'll never know and they can obviously do whatever they want with their money.

I think you are spot on. We'll be as disappointed in Jan as we were in the summer.

I genuinely couldn't believe on the deadline when Ridsdale had seemingly turned his phone off at 6pm. Sold Heckingbottom a relegation battle.
