in the games where we have won this season, why have you not credited westley or given him any praise?

The thing about football - there is always another day, always a return coming up in the not too distant future. PNE are on the up and Westley will get his revenge - just wait and see.

Didn't look as though he did. As I've said on another thread, if the oppo are up to the physical challenge, we seem to struggle to open up a solid backline, and if we don't get in front early doors, as is the plan, the longer the game goes on, the more unlikely we look like scoring.

But I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt. We are still a "work in progress", with 18(?) players arriving over the last few months, so it is understandable that we will have games where we come unstuck.

Crawley, on the other hand, I daresay the majority of their squad have been together for a few seasons, and yesterday it showed.

I still think we'll win more than we'll lose, and most of the teams in the league will hopefully not be able to live with our high tempo, pressing game.

I'm also encouraged by the fact Westley teams are renowned for finishing strongly, so as long as we're within touching distance of the promotion places come january, then we should have reason to be optimistic?

Although the number of injuries we continue to collect is still a concern.

As for the game, still early days and after the highs of the last couple of weeks it was back down to earth yesterday after being beaten by a team who had obviously done their homework on us and bossed much of the game.

As for the long term, I am still confident we will be there of thereabouts come the end of the season, but I think it will maybe be a case of the lottery of the play-offs and not automatic given I worry about our ability to turn a game around once we fall behind.

I'd rather lose this game and reinforce the message how hard this league will be than scab some results early doors and fall away. Hopefully mr Wesley has taken note we need a creative player in midfield and a creative attacker. Easier said than done but I'm sure there's some nuggets out there waiting to be found.
