I've Lost It

I've Lost It

Been watching since `1963 and the current level of performance is deplorable. The management and most of the playing squad need to show real desire otherwise we are relegated - one win in sixteen and the football is awful. The January signings and the constant signing of unfit athletes is ridiculous - first signing in January should have been a proper keeper but then again we signed an understudy supposedly.

Just out of interest, apart from PH has any player come out and said anything ?
Their collective silence isn't helping either.

I'm usually very vocal, get behind the team, join in the chants etc. In fact I think I'm one of the few in the middle of the Kelly who keeps the chants going and helps it transfer across the stand. I'm 58 and been watching them for nearly 50 years.

Three home games ago at half time, I checked out mentally. I decided not to bother. I feel better for it.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still sat there and I'll be sat there next week but I'll go because I get to see my folks and some of my mates. The match itself is largely irrelevant now.

Last night I received messages from people watching the game on TV, at the game etc. I was in a pub perfectly happy. Didn't give a shit. Not quite sure how I reached this point but that's where I'm at. I've checked out of the emotional investment. I'm sure a lot of others feel the same.
This is exactly how I feel now.

I'm 42, been going since the early 90's as a kid, season ticket every year. I feel completely emotionless about it, didn't even watch the Coventry game on the box, didn't feel anything when I saw the result other than inevitability.

I got back into golf last year & really enjoy playing, far more than sat in that morgue every other Saturday feeling depressed. I said after Rovers away I'm done with it, gonna play golf every Saturday now instead, I have done too & don't miss Deepdale.

Pains me to post this, its like ending a long term relationship. I might come back if things change, we change tactics & play a 4-3-3 with exciting wingers (like Hull did at Deepdale even on our shite pitch).

It not just PNE I barely watch football on the telly now, bores me most of the time.

To be honest I’m at a point where I’m not bothered if we lose. In fact the more we lose the more toxic deepdale comes and this is what we need.

We can’t have fans happy clapping finishing 10th or 11th more. Get as close to relegation as we can. Fans need to do something tj force these owners out.

The problem is fans are very apathetic including myself. But unfortunately that isn’t going to force change. I will be on that final home game to give everyone shit.

Also, the following clubs have over taken us over the past few years without parachute payments: Ipswich, Sunderland, Luton, Sheffield United. Even the likes of Barnsley, Bristol have made the play offs. Coventry are going to get promoted. Millwall will just be another club who have made the prem before us.

What do we do. Happy clap finishing above the relegation zone. Players,
Manager, ridsdale and the owners can all fuck off. Sick of them!

I made a mistake putting the fixtures into the calendar on my phone.
I had tomorrow down as a home game.
I can't tell you how relieved I am not to have to go to the match tomorrow!

Went to bed early. Just woke up. Seen score and comments and no surprises. The club is in free fall again, after xmas we fall apart year on year.
Not going on again this season and until some real positives are announced will remain away after 50 odd years
Did you renew Beagle ??

If you're panicking, try not to think about Preston North End so much.

It's better for your mental wellbeing.

People who dismiss cricket as “ boring “ have probably never given it a proper chance……

If you can watch the garbage being served up at Deepdale then I’m sure that you would find a day of cricket thoroughly exhilarating

Agreed, cricket is fucking brilliant and it's a sport I much prefer at local level (I struggle to watch local/non league football). Fox Lane cricket club in Leyland is one of the best local grounds IMO, cheap booze and great food for £20 per year membership. Decent standard of player across the first four teams as well. The young staff are all absolutely great too.

Fuck North End.

Fantastic post. Up until the last 3 words. Absolutely embarrassing lack of bottle. Fuck North End? Fair enough. The hard times (these aren’t even hard btw) are obviously too much for you. Off you pop son

Happy clapping mediocre shit and mismanagement and staying entertained is 'bottle' is it? 🤣 You fucking hero.

Did your Celtic mates teach you this when they taught you PNE and Celtic have a special relationship? Cause it's as much bullshit as that was.

Nobody is happy clapping here. Want more. Demand more if need be. But fuck North End? That’s plastics mentality. We’re better than that.

Not sure what this has to do with the Preston/Celtic fans relationship

I wondered how long it would be before the deluded happy clappers would come on and try to defend the current shitshow. Fair play....I would love to live in your head and think everything is great with the world and we're going to have a fantastic season.
