January 2011 Transfers/Rumours/Gossip Thread

Kudos Norky, you know your shit when it comes to the loan system.

[Longshanks]

He only went to Barnsley on an emergency loan so he's able to sign for someone else.

I bow to your loan knowledge.

Forgiveness please.😀

Norky is a very knowledgeable poster, I hear he writes all the questions on QI 😉

[rem]

What about Carter, Norky? Can he go out on loan again or is he caught by the same rule as Vaughan was?

Yes, same rule as Vaughan. So he could go to Millwall on loan. But that's about it. Not going to happen though, is it?

3 or 4 in - 2 out !

[Randall Flagg]

3 or 4 in - 2 out !

A bold prediction! I'm sticking with 1 in and 1 out. Then maybe a couple of loans once the window shuts.

[pkbpne22]

Correct Randall and it is only a prediction, only thing I have been told is if Rovers get one of their targets tomorrow, we will get Josh Morris on loan.

[Deepdale roar]

I am hoping 5 in - Ashbee, Iwelumo, Morris (loan), Mendy & Nimely (youth loan)

3 out - Parry, Hayes and sadly Jones

If we can get Morgan back to Posh I would take another centre half too!

Think you're going to be very disappointed!

According to PNE.com, Leon Clarke has been given the number 8 shirt.

Can we read anything into this?

No it's merely a number.

Thats what supporting PNE is all about. Expect the world and receive f all. It is what keeps me such an optimistic, happy go lucky kind of guy 🙁

Every transfer window I always think this time they'll surprise us. It never happens.

[norky84]

Why would Mendy sign in two weeks and not now? He's a free agent now so can sign for anyone at anytime.

[pne fc]

because he can sign mendy after the transfer window and his priority for tomorrow should be to get players in that cannot be signed after the transfer window in my eyes, mendy is a back up if jones leaves tomorrow

Why wait two weeks though? Free agents can sign at any time if they weren't attached to a club in the previous transfer window slot. We could sign him this Tuesday after the window if need be.

[pne fc]

ohh right, i thought there was a loan and free transfer window coming up a few weeks after the transfer window shuts?

So in other words, you were trying to sound 'ITK' but instead ended up sounding fucking clueless.
