January 2011 Transfers/Rumours/Gossip Thread

The loan window starts a week after the transfer window. Players who weren't in a contract during this window i.e. Mendy can sign outside this window. An exception to the rule is say we release Henderson from his contract on Friday, he could only sign.for a club in the loan or transfer window. I think!?

Iwelumo deal off agreed fee with Burnley but wages the big problem would have smashed pne wage stucture.

I heard on Saturday that Henderson will soon be fit, for how long I don't know.

As much as I want the lad to regain full fitness, I just don't know if we can rely on him. Can we afford to have him on the bench as a sub keeper? Imagine if Lonners gets sent off/injured. We send Henderson on and pray that his back doesn't fall apart the first time he needs to dive or leap.

this guy from the lep is in the know...

We have had a bid for HAYES, MORGAN, JONES, LEDGE and BARTON so expect alot if activity today!! Man, I hate transfer D DAY!!!

This just taken from the bbc

0838: Just heard from a contact at Preston, who tells me that he expects a lot of activity at the Championship club. They are bottom of the league and scrapping for survival so boss Phil Brown probably feels a few new faces are required

I get the impression we are finished with any business. Although no pre match interview with Brown on official website yet some hopefully he's in talks with a few. I still think we are a left back, winger and striker short.
