Not necessarily. Remember Clarke Carlisle?
To be honest, I think he is a different kettle of fish to CC

I wouldnt criticise Clarkes effort, he just wasnt very good.
He turns 37 this year. Doubt we can offload him in this window but very much doubt if we'll give him another deal for the 2013/14 season. He was on £3k in Wales. I just really hope hes been on peanuts whilst at PNE. Its just strange we handed him a 12 month deal without fuss yet let Sodje walk out on us.Disagree with Trundle - hardly had a kick yet has he?
It mentions he can play right wing as well
I sincerley fucking hope not. He needs to play up front and stay up front. If Westley plays him on the wing I think I'll write a strongly worded letter to the club.....that or set him on fire in the technical area.

The two aint even close. And you can't fault Carlisle commitment or passion, he was just past it and not all that good when we signed him.
He's a crock obviously. Probably won't be back until End of February. Only 8 weeks of the season left by then.
do not jest about it....the chances are westley will see either garner OR beavon playing as he will have to have his stevenage chums in the side somewhere. I agree its a bout as good a signing as we could expect though...but i dont trust our ****e manager to adopt a style of play that will give either joe garner or beavon many chances....
Positive signing to start January with. I always prefer it is a striker takes the pens because it can add 4 or 5 a season to his goal tally. Hopefully his one in November wasn't a fluke.
Be interesting to see how Westley uses him though.
At Deepdale I think he'll mainly go 4-4-2 but away from home he might have either Garner or Beavon dropping back to one of the wings to make us more compact in midfield.
