That’s a shame. If they got the announcer that likes the sound of his own voice to sing for the gigs, we wouldn’t need new sound systems. He’s so loud I can hear him as I get out of the car, and I park near Sharoe Green

Someone chimed in with some limited knowledge on the subject.

They said it wouldn't be straightforward to get bands to deviate from the regular touring cities due to Preston's proximity to Manchester/Liverpool and the already established touring schedule.

It would take some work and I think if the club work in conjunction with the city, and make it beneficial to bands to come here, then it could happen.

Often, tours are planned months/year in advance, so hopefully we have someone within the new ownership group with the finger on the pulse and some contacts within the music business who can fast track us some events.

There's the issue.

Obviously no one at the Club can be arsed otherwise it would've happened by now.

PSC is a supporters group who don't have a direct "say" whereas the Fan Advisory Network are asked for opinion on what the club are doing/proposing and can have a direct influence on policy.
 
Imagine this being a thing at PNE. Would be nice, just not for the players 😅

Can see Whiteman handling things the polar opposite way to Ched Evans...

One thing though, has the poor signal around Deepdale ever been raised by the FAN?

Genuinely struggle to load anything around the ground, particularly at HT when everyone is trying to use their phones. Sounds trivial, but I do think fans will struggle to submit their choice because of it.

Any chance of a WiFi option or something similar being looked at? 🤔
 
I tried to do it but they only seemed to give 3 choices, one of whom was Lang and another Valentin. Neither deserved it in a million years.

It was slow loading the page though.

Infrastructure stuff like this is on the FAN list of actions raised with the club to help with the matchday atmosphere/experience. The FAN hasn't yet had the opportunity to get into the specific proposals with the club.

I agree that anything that involves QR codes, votes etc relies on better signal or WiFi though.

Can you please raise sacking off Wallace & Gromit on loop pre-match? And walking out to Elvis, also kept on loop for five minutes.

We need a clapometer like Hughie Green used to have on Opportunity Knocks.
 
Maybe being a bit pedantic, but fans watching online through whatever means do not quite get the same panacea of those actually attending a/the Match.
It's probably not feasible but the opinion of fans actually at the match outweighs those watching on a screen IMO.

I do both - attending at matches for home games, but usually on a screen for aways, where you get a flavour, but not the whole picture.
Not sure if you can weight the voting structure between attendees and watchers though - but if anyone watching anyhow can vote, it may not be the full picture.
Again, maybe it's just me.

To add to this, we can't have a repeat of today's candidates. It was a shortlist of 3 and all 3 of them weren't having good games. Selection either needs to be more sensible or just an open vote
