Match Day Thread - Bolton v PNE (Gentry Day) 03/03/18 - KO:15:00 - Cp

Who’s our goal keeping coach? Alan kelly jr has a pic with a bowler hat today. Didn’t think it warranted a thread, so I thought I’d put it in here.

It was taken two years ago FFS

Just looking back through the thread. California completely shit his knickers for a while there. He'll be reassured to know that Robinson was catching flak from a handful of our fans at the game. Wonder if they felt as strongly at FT...

Do we know why Woods was subbed? I hope it's just a case of fatigue rather than any injury on the horizon.

Think it was more tactical than anything

Paddy and 26... I am actually happy we won you know haha your little negativity rants after the event to score points is a tad silly cause that first half was atrocious. That's unarguable. and Bolton were totally shit. And Maguire back was the difference. So please, no need for it.

We're all nobbers we all want the same thing.

Your activity when we are losing against when we are winning is quite noticeable tbh ..... may be just coincidence but odd. 😀

He was off side I think

He was that is why the penalty wasn’t given. With Maguire I just think he has really good positional sense. I said to my friend before our third “if we can another chance just watch maguire be in exactly the right place to score it”. I thoroughly enjoyed the game today but by eck it was bloody cold.

It did look that way , thought it was very strange move at the time ?? What did you make of it ?
Isn't that twice on the trot Woods has been hoiked early? (I was going to say 'pulled off' but feared the responses it would generate).

He seems to have a lot of faith in Browne and is reluctant to take him off. We needed to make a change and as Browne has proved proficient at RB Woods was the one hooked.

I believe Woods to be on borrowed time tbh so while he didn't do anything wrong by the sounds of things you keep players on the pitch that you have complete faith in.

Well excuse me for pointing out---I have said for some time McGuire is much better in a central role than playing on the Left, were he looks lost---And Robinson is much better on the Left than in a central position ---So perhaps an ‘Old Un’ does actually know a bit about the game despite what you ‘Young Un’s’ think---Expect the games on Tuesday and Saturday to be a totally different one's---Both of them will run at our back four with some speed, so let’s hope Fisher is back and Huntington can manage Mitrovic, he has a pretty good record against us ---Well Done to all today though

I guess none of us really know how fit Woods is. He had a horrible injury and no consistent playing time has meant he is more susceptible to pick up other knocks.

It's tough for the manager as he has to be able to trust his players to get through the game and I don't think he has that in Calum.

Might help to get taken seriously if you could spell his name correctly 😉

Yeah I could go with the fitness angle , especially with another game Tuesday , not sure is fisher is back for that one ?

It's going to take him all night to get rid of them shit stains in his knickers. I don't think he realises that teams can go one nil down even the good ones.
