The warning signs were there on Saturday the defence was awful then too. On Saturday we were lucky.
we are getting thrashed , cock ups by Lonergan & collins according to sky sports
Im listening to it and I not heard it be lonergans fault. We can't defend and Furguson doesn't understand DEFEND. we in a Relegation battle.

Lonergan flaps and its FIVE nightmare defending !!
🙁😡
personally i think he could be one of our weak links in the back line, i say we need a old fashioned center back but we also need a more experienced keeper to settle and command the back four. We have always done well when we have had this type of character, Lucketti being the last. When we had Wayne brown here on loan last year it made a big difference. If you havent got this type of defender you need a Keeper who can play that role and personally Lonners isnt quite at that stage just yet!, he will be but too young just yet, keepers develop this as they get older and lonners needs more time. He would do well to learn of an experienced keeper.

Ferguson is already making things difficult for himself. Constantly changing the team around and leaving out players who have played well in the previous game.
I sense this fella is going to split opinion more than any other recent manager and things on this forum are going to become pretty heated.
Completely agree. I just sense that this appointment isnt going to work out right for us.

The Gentry (RIP)
yessssssssssssssssssssss - watch this for a fight back
If we have learned one thing about DF so far it is that he does not just sit there glumly when things are evidently wrong. I suspect we might see both Youl and Hart back for the next game.
If St Ledger has had another bad game, I wonder if he the gumption to drop him as well as Collins and play Youl and Chilvers or Nolan?

5-3 now.
Jesus score 3 away from home and still come home pointless.
Reminds me of Spurs in 94/95 when Ossie Ardilles tried to play 5 up front.

We cannot keep signing players. We have to make the best of what we have now until the summer and hope some of them will clear off. In the meantime we need to try and find a settled decent defence.
At the moment my selection if fit would be Henderson/Jones/Chivers/Mawene/Davidson.
Hopefully SSL will lose his Ireland place and get his act together.

Has Lonergan had a good game at all while Ferguson has been here?
Last time we conceded 5 at Pride Park some goon ran on the pitch and ripped his shirt off. Any chance of a repeat of that tonight?
Was that not Steve?

Collins at fault again - how many chances can we afford to give this guy - bloody hell we get back at 2 -2 and he screws it up - how annoying - why change the back four tonght its beyond me.
Since Fergusons appointment:
Games played with Neil Collins and St Ledger
Bristol City - 4 goals conceded
Barnsley - 4 goals conceded
Derby - 5 goals conceded
Total of points gained - 0 from 9
Games played with Mawene and St Ledger
Peterborough - 0 goals conceded
Ipswich Town - 0 goals conceded
Swansea City - 2 goals conceded
Sheffield United - 1 goal conceded
Blackpool - 0 goals conceded
Total of points gained - 10 from 15
Nex time Fergie Jnr considers resting Mawene, maybe think of Chilvers, Nolan, any reserve defender and failing that, the tea lady? Just a thought?
