He thinks OOOO the online poster is a twat. He hasn't met me so can't really make a judgement on me as an individual.
Agreed on his politics opinions

Deany doesnt actually exist, you know, hes just a conspiracy theory. It could be Deany... 🙂

I don't even know who all the mods are to be honest. Some seem to only sit in the background and dish out infractions now and again, some are funny at times, some act like they use to get bullied at school and enjoy having a bit of authority.... like community support officers or junior football referees... ?
Some follow the old saying 'do as I say not as I do....!!'
All in all I don't see the enjoyment out of being a mod but credit where it's due we need them and the board does run relatively smoothly...

Yet my politics the other week had me lumped in with you. Tough lessons in life

I think I am still to have a 'life lesson' from a football forum. You happy with Corbyn?

I don't vote Labour where I live and am fairly apolitical in that no-one represents my views closely enough currently so normally have to vote tactically or against some of my views which I don't particularly like
I can be neither happy nor unhappy at Corbyn for those reasons as I have no vested interest either way. But he is interesting in offering a different view, but i also think he's going to cement a Tory government for a while as he is too far away from centre for the masses. A common point I've made fairly often is the dilution of politics over the last few years, this just helps that dilution I fear where we will have 3 or 4 opposition minorities, none of which have sufficient support to rock the boat individually but it may at least allow a collective opposition on some points/policies, if they ever agree with each other.

Or you could abstain due to lack of interest...

Also just to add, if you could give me a pointer on what I'm doing wrong as to be honest, given decisions are made as a group, it's hard to get in a situation where 1 is doing it wrong whilst the other 8 are doing it right . But it can go on my mid year appraisal as a "weakness" at least

I disagree with that view though too
This quote from elsewhere made me think as I probably am closer to the latter sadly "“It is better to vote for what you want and not get it than to vote for what you don’t want and get it.”
Maybe I need a rethink rather than fighting the status quo where I am

I've got to agree with you here Dirk, especially regarding bringing back Raefil as a mod. He's the second best moderator this forum has ever had, closely behind Nobber, possibly too close behind.
Well to be honest apart from his spat with mossy and wibg hes done well in the past as has bards and mossy so yeah if we were to replace someone why not go for someone with pedigree . But i do think were fortunate enough to have a very good team of elected mods

Yeah.... And you don't get what you want either way........ I'll stick to the wasted shoeleather approach........ Line up 7 tossers in front of me and insist that I vote for the lesser tosser...... I'll give it a miss.

Very happy with the current mods, in general. It`s panned out exactly as I thought it would before the last election.
Jake has given an enormous amount to the forum...more than any other member in it`s history..and should be Admin level.
Jack Daniels has put a tremendous effort in, giving long explanations re modding decisions, and has been prepared to take flak.
Guinness has been a wilder element...I saw him as a replacement for Mossy...keeping it real, by remembering this is a footie forum, and not a PC orientated Chatterring Classes Collective. He has toned his views down well at times.
Preston Lad says little...but has a certain gravitas and authority amongst a sub-group of forum users when he does.
I was careful not to criticise Deany before the election..fair play to him for standing...but in fairness have seen little effort from him as a mod, so have no praise to offer here.
Fair play to the group for making tough decisions whilst the forum has had a certain `uncared for` look after the Admin Exodus. Ultimately, it isn`t really about the rules being applied..it`s about them putting in sufficient work to avoid having to ban long term posters, until the point when they just say, `enough of this twot`.
They have done that, as well as the simple basics.
Doesn`t seem worth having an election so late..suggest this lot carry on until January. For myself, I will continue to be a reader and user of the forum rather than an active poster, as I was for many years. At some point in the future (if there is a need) I may put myself forward for mod again, but it would be as a mod only...rather than posting regularly and getting involved in the politics and discussions.

I think thats the key, and why I wont stand again. I enjoy chatting and getting involved and can be controversial with my views. I dont post to deliberately wind up, well I do with MJB, sometimes 🙂, so Id prefer to post in the forum.
Modding can be as hard or easy as you make it, TBH. My thoughts on this group is that theyve done a damned good job, nearly as good as me and Nobber!! Agree with Bardy, no point in change now lets leave well alone till January at the earliest.

Thanks for that Bardas.
Someone's opinion that I thoroughly respect.
I've nothing but praise for the rest of the mods also.
They're good lads.
