We all have them, a forum would be quite boring without them but I heard something a bit disturbing today.
A regular poster on here expressed an opinion that one of the young players was not ready for the first team just yet. A friend of that player disagreed. Opinions.!
The first poster later mentioned he was going to watch the young lads play their next match.
The friend of the young player went to the same match, approached the original poster and threatened him with violent action.
This to me is unacceptable that one poster should threaten another because they have different opinions
I believe the original poster has now decided to stop posting on here. Sad, all because someone disagrees with another posters opinion.

Is it @sports rehab ? Not seen them post for a while

It’s unacceptable, it isn’t condoned, but not sure it is the “forums” issue. People are responsible for their own actions but it appears to be a societal issue that people want to blame or find an arbiter to do their work. Like parents contacting schools to complain when kids disagree on text/social media.

But if people want us to censor opinions then let us know which opinion we allow

Jake, no way was I trying to say the forum was in anyway responsible. I'm simply saying it's a sad state when a forum member is threatening another member for having a different opinion and subsequently making a member of the forum decide to stop posting.

Like I say, it’s not something we would condone either and hopefully the affected poster will reconsider their stance. I think most other posters would stand with that poster in the situation. Sad state of affairs

Bellendery of the highest order from the players friend.
If the player is keeping company like that I'd suggest he has a look his choices.
