Correct, 'It will do North End' as usual.Just standard PNE no one is under any pressure from Peter down to the players. However bad you are doing there are repercussions and just carry on
Peter Murphy
You sure it wasn't the fans in the town end who was supposed to be marking tbe goalscorer? They're usually to blame 🙄Not that I'm saying he's any good, but again Harry Clarke had a free header six yards out and managed to head it onto his shoulder.
Clarke's man also scored Bristol City's second goal.

Yeah, pretty certain, you fucking melon. You sure it wasn't the fans in the town end who was supposed to be marking tbe goalscorer? They're usually to blame 🙄
To be fair Edgy, I thought the fans really got behind the players today. Ultimately this group of players never fails in finding a way to throw points away. It’s not at all perverse, it’s a great observation👍
I think most fans came of more surprised we lost, we played well for so much of the game, booing doesn’t help, those that did play well hear it and I don’t imagine it motivates them in any way
And then, by consistently selecting Liam Lindsay, it’s as if the manager wants to lose the games.
It's not just this guy, I was watching the shooting drills before kick off, it was so half arsed, Euell is supposed to be laying the ball off for a shot but half of the time the players are having to retrieve it first. There's no intensity in the pre-match, it's no wonder they can't hit a cows arse.
4 games in and they've tossed it off.

What his specific role is isn’t totally clear but amongst all the criticism of Lindsay for goal number 2, I’m far from convinced it was him at fault. It’s not totally clear what was going on but it looks like the whole line was a bit shambolic and either the bloke who scored was Clarke’s man OR we had a spare defender - because in the area they scored from, we had three (Leroy, Clarke and Lindsay). I’m edging towards it being Clarke.
Whatever happened, I think the bigger issue is defending set pieces than attacking set pieces.

I often arrive early enough to watch the warm ups and it’s been half hearted for some time. There was a period when they tried to recreate match situations with players running down the wings and crossing for players to shoot but it now looks artificial and going through the motions. It's not just this guy, I was watching the shooting drills before kick off, it was so half arsed, Euell is supposed to be laying the ball off for a shot but half of the time the players are having to retrieve it first. However, as someone who wishes for the old days to return I can’t really complain as I should be wanting them to stroll out at 2:55 with a ball under their arms ready to pass it round the edge of the area for 3 minutes.
I appreciate many of us are trying to find a scapegoat but in all honesty 99% have no idea how good/bad of a coach Murphy is as we aren't privy to day to day training - and even then I don't think most of us would have a clue how to judge it.
Peter Murphy may have been given the responsibility for set pieces but he's not a set piece coach - there's a big difference. Again it comes down to penny pinching from the club trying to put round pegs in square holes.

So you're telling me when Devine gets a free kick and he gets the other player to slightly touch it and he runs with it isn't down to the brains of P.Murphy?

What I'm saying is nobody has a clue on the capabilities of Peter Murphy as they don't see what he does or doesn't do day to day.

Not true. We’ve all seen he’s up for a scrap anytimeWhat I'm saying is nobody has a clue on the capabilities of Peter Murphy as they don't see what he does or doesn't do day to day.
a very mature way of looking at it - sadly the reality is that whatever it is that goes on through the week is not reflected as much as hoped on a matchdayWhat I'm saying is nobody has a clue on the capabilities of Peter Murphy as they don't see what he does or doesn't do day to day.

Whilst 85% of North End fans were all stood looking towards Devine at the corner flag like meerkats last Saturday, I was watching was going on in the box.
Clarke was the one player who seemed interested in finding a bit of space and actually attacking the cross.
He could well have a few goals in him.
He’s obviously been reading PNE online 🤔👌

Peter Murphy obviously is a bit shit, but I’m looking at Offiah (absolutely bullied) and Iversen (positioning?) first.Long throw, free header and goal. Well done bus driver.
Another part of the shambolic coaching set up that needs to leave.
It’s like blaming the manager at the time for Graham Alexander’s OG, when Tepi missed the ball completely. Our abhorrent box defending this season is why it’s all the more baffling, as many of us warned, that we didn’t sign a CB this summer.

Put it on another thread, but we had loads of corners and long throws, but never seem to win the first ball, coaching, training or desire. There big lumps wanted it more and were all well positioned (coached!!!)
