Matchday Thread PNE v Hull City - 02/03/24 - KO:3PM - Championship

Bit embarrassing that tbh.

That’s not even a leak, that’s a full on stream.

Kind of stuff you’d see in non-league. Not an established Championship football club.
That’s a water feature ….something for the away fans to look forward to when they visit.

Shows how good of a defensive performance it was from both teams when the 2 CBs from the same game get in the team of the week.

Lindsay was a lot better with looking for progressive passes compared to how he used to be. Obviously never going to be classed as a great ball playing defender, and is going to make some poor passes, but it's much better to see than just constant nothing passes/punts up the pitch all game. Was the more riskier of our three defenders yesterday when it came to making forward passes. And he was the reason why Carvalho was so quiet.

Agreed. While the overall standard of his passing was poor, he made a couple of really good progressive passes in the first half that caught me off guard.

Don’t get why Woodman is in there. Didn’t have much to do.

Honestly, I have some sympathy with the ref there. I think the obvious shirt pull was on the blind side (goal side) far as the ref could see.
Yes, I agree. But it was a pen.

If we had VAR in the Championship...
