Yeah we hear this every season. ‘We are going down’ based on a few pre season friendly results.
We are short in the squad at the minute but we will make more signings. We do every season.
Will it be enough for the top 8? No but it will be enough to stay up again.
If we have a different owner (fingers crossed) and a different manager that would give me more hope of a play off push.
 
I’m sure we were saying this last preseason and we were doing ok until it fell apart 😂.

I think we’ll be fine - providing we are bought by Zedan. Expanded playoffs will give us more of a chance, but really not bothered if we don’t get there this season if it means the club going in a new direction etc.

I honestly can’t see us just going all out on one player and then not making the right signings for other positions. I also still don’t believe the Hemmings would structure a deal like Devine’s if the sale wasn’t happening.

For what it is worth they must have convinced Devine that we weren’t going to just tread water. If that turns out to be wrong he will be off at the end of next season of course.

At least there’s no history of the current owners claiming they’ve got more ambition than they actually have to convince people to sign on…

I do wonder what the fuck our media dept were doing today by showing us a picture of the Riddler together with Penrose at today’s behind closed doors friendly.As fans we are completely in the dark re the forthcoming seasons direction no comments from anyone about anything.For me it rubs salt into the wound seeing such a picture.We sign Devine for £6.5 mill and now seem to be doing our normal thing of looking for foreign players who no one has heard of or free transfers.As things are at the moment Devine will be off in January.What did they tell him we all know it will have been Riddler bullshit.Fuck off out of the club Riddler.
 
In the possibility of no new signings and the fact we are seemingly playing a 4-4-2 I wonder if the starting lineup could look like this on the first day of the season.

Not sure how I feel about that in all honesty. Not a fan of 4-4-2 in general. Imagine if Mills is brought in he probably starts over Small as I don't think Heckingbottom knows how to use him and depending on how long Small is out for.
