Protest?

Protest?

Why don't we all turn up to the match on Saturday in our underpants? To show we think the current situation is a load of 'pants'.
That's bound to get on the telly.
(Optional skid marks could represent the current car crash of a season)

Which is the worst choice
My lad and I love meeting up and going to PNE - win lose or draw - we will do that whatever league and whatever position.
No owner, manager, player or fan will come between that
And that, my friend,is how to follow a football club. I'm not lucky enough to go on with my lads as they both live away from Preston, but when they're home and there is a game on, we always go. I used to take a home-made stool for them when they were small and we were allowed to stand, always in the same place with a barrier to lean on. Good days.

Glad to report that, despite the ever-present trauma of following PNE, they're both well grounded . My next task is to get the grandkids there when I can, but they're not quite ready for the stress yet!

Excellent
There is also the ever present threat that if the grandkids are naughty you will buy them a season ticket

Done Hospitality a few times at Deepdale and 3 times at Sunderland when Stepson was at Uni so TBF, doing Hospitality and making a Day of it does slightly mitigate the actual football!!

I have actually got one for one of them who lives in the uk.... He's aged 6, going to try a game soon. How I deal with the language from 2 or 3 lads who've got STs near us this season, I'm not sure yet. I'm pretty broad minded and accept it's part of the game these days, but it's truly relentlessly awful. Perhaps I need to start another thread to get advice...

If you've got a Season Ticket contact the Club and see if you can transfer for the Match to the Family Section and buy the extra one there, if it's a one off.

The language at loud volume from grown blokes close by can be very intimidating for children but I suppose it's all part of the grounding process that we've all been through. Finney family stand transfer?

Even if our fan base could muster something remotely like a protest, it would be pointless.

The ownership collectively have shown they really don’t care, demonstrated by the complete lack of communication with the fans. They’ve also shown they haven’t got a clue how to run a football club, other than to barely keep it afloat.

I’m sure the new owner would love to see a stadium of empty seats or a walk out protest after x amount of minutes - he would then know he’s got a serious job on his hands to win the fans back.

The first step is confirming that the Hemmings/Peter are gone - then the real job begins in showing us he really means business and getting the club where it needs to be.

I get that people go on with friends/family - but I also go to watch ENTERTAINING football. That doesn’t necessarily mean winning all the time, but playing in a way that when you walk off, you can say ‘bloody good game that’ regardless of win/loss/draw.

Money and time is precious - this lot of so called club owners and footballers don’t deserve any of it until they start putting some pride back in the club and fans that STILL continue to back them.

Thanks for that. I agree that's an option that I'll probably follow, but part of me doesn't feel I should have to move away from people I've been going to football with for years just because some louts can't control themselves and have zero respect for the people around them, especially children of which there are a few. I accept, totally, that exposure to poor language is a feature of football, particularly on the Town End where we sit and it's sad, but true, that even outside the game, standards have dropped to the point where it's commonplace.
