Protest?

Protest?

This current dictatorship that run our club have got so so much wrong it's quite an achievement really Ryan Lowe walked after 1 match and Ridsdale still tried to get him to stay then we appoint Heckingbottom as our next permanent manager who kept us up on the last day of his 1st season and the run of form most clubs would of sacked but no not Preston what do we do stick with him and to be fair his 2nd season we got of to a flyer but what happened just like his 1st season that run of bad for that again that most clubs would of said thank you Heckingbottom but I think it's time we part ways but no we give him roughly 15 million to spend to make the squad even worse its remarkable really when you're a club that relies on loan players and years of neglecting an academy setup to hopefully bring through our own talent this is when you think people at the top would think things need to change at the top Ridsdale needs to be the 1st to go and fans need to come together Tuesday night and made themselves heard but unfortunately our stadium is a library I'm in the Finney stand and if you make too much noise you get frowned upon.

I've said it before if we collectively stood up and faced the box and just sarcastically clapped the directors and do it repeatedly it would make them uncomfortable with out shouting dogs abuse.

After a protest what next?

Just what will it achieve?

We all want a change of ownership but once again were back to who?

Whats been progressed by fans of other clubs who protested against their owners? Lashers a very good example, looking like they may well end up in the same league as AFC Fylde in the next few years.

Rovers protests against the Venkys?

An initial result would be to get the supporters some kind of update and regular communication from the club, from whoever is running the club ?

Couple of P.R chants out yesterday, only from a few of our support that was left near the end. Lame really, seems to come across that the problems are just with the 'playing staff and management', most were just bemused at the crap and we were witnessing, shrug of shoulders or sarcastic laughs.
That's what the North End fan base are, hope for the best, not insist on the best.
Always has been in 60 years of my efforts to support the club.
We are too. loyal to mediocrity and seem to look up to other clubs at our current level in awe as what could be, even' lesser' clubs than ourselves show us up as 'clubs' with progress made.
Que Stockport, Salford in the rear mirror.!
and Barnet and maybe York….

The likelihood the takeover has fallen through given the lack of noise about it from anywhere means the Hemmings are still in control for the foreseeable and as such, The Dinosaur King is reporting for duty, aged 75, once we hit league 1 next season.

And people are debating whether a protest is a good idea?

I find that staggering personally.

That's without even getting into the Hemmings family group and their ownership.

Hate to say it but waving white flags would probably get the owners thinking we were backing them. Orange flags would really kick them in the balls.

As season ticket holders we have parted with our money before the season gets started. Paid up front for nothing in return. When the season then starts I believe we are entitled to get what we have paid for, football. This is not happening. What we are getting is not football, it’s utter shite. We didn’t pay in advance for shite. Some will even have parted with their cash on the understanding that a change of ownership was happening. Therefore I believe all season ticket holders should be allowed to make a choice. Keep watching the shite or get a prorata refund.

Season ticket sales will plummet next year with the prospect of L1 football. We'll do well to shift 7000 as this rate. We dont have to go, its meant to be enjoyable but sadly its dire and many force themselves to go as we have paid upfront. Sad times.

That’s exactly it. People force themselves to go because they have paid upfront. It really shouldn’t be like that, but it is. The owners and Ridsdale couldn’t give a flying fuck for any of us. It’s time they were made to feel like shit.

And yet some people are saying we shouldn’t protest because it won’t achieve anything…..

Maybe it won’t but it will certainly let Penrose , Ridsdale and the owners know how the fans feel, let down
and frustrated…

I dont expect a refund and im not even some type of martyr but i cant see me attending Deepdale in the near future.

I literally bought my ST for one reason only this season, thats because new ownership was in the offing so there was actual hope of some type of change. Its obvious to me that its not happening and Im seriously doubting that it ever was going to.

Don’t think a protest or non attendance will do much.

Season ticket money has already been brought in and as long as the IOM posse can sit pretty at Ballavoddan Manor, taking no heat at all, they won’t be remotely arsed what the plebeian fans get up to.

The Fat Controller is paid to take the heat and he’ll just continue to be their nominated punchbag like he has been for years. And as long as he can sit at his desk ordering Chester’s and Dominos to Euxton and drive back to Wennington without any real bother, he won’t be remotely arsed about any protests.

Zedan was the only real way out of this and I just don’t see how that progresses any time soon, if at all. Any deal that has been struck will surely be renegotiated heavily now were a L1 club in waiting. Will the IOM accept £’s being removed from the deal in principle after spending big money in the summer. I don’t see it.

Agree with this but if we could find a way of putting the IOM in the spotlight, it might have some effect.
I asked this question on AI “is there a mass messaging app where supporters of a football club can download an app, enter a seat number then diplay a large co-ordinated message using phone lights?”. Apparently there is. If we could display a stand wide message saying “Revitt out” or similar on a nighttime tv game, perhaps that would attract some media attention?

For some. A Saturday afternoon at Deepdale is their whole social life and nothing much else.

Makes our situation all the more sad.
