Confirmed Retained List.

We have 3 good Championship players imo - McCann, Gibson and Osmajic. I’d argue Osmajic is pretty hit and miss as well, but I’m always willing to cut our strikers some slack. While we have created more this season, I don’t think the service to them is anywhere near good enough.

Hughes, Whiteman, Potts, Mads are all serviceable. I honestly think the rest are absolute garbage.

So many players are needed just to stand still but we knew that before the retained list came out. Christ I hope we have a good summer.
 
Fuck that im not coming down from manchester every other week to watch those on the contracted list and deals given to hasbeens like Evans and Brady

The squad has no pace and what do we do, reward failure with extentions.

Which fan in their right mind would sign up for more of the same. We are going nowhere!

I wouldn't go that far and absolutely disagree RE Osmajic. In a top side dominating games and creating chances he scores 25-30+ in my opinion.

Mads is good enough and its a big season for him, same with Thordarson. Whiteman is a strange one, he is capable, but he again absolutely has to prove himself and stop the negative backwards shite. Potts is dependable and you need those players.

Brady again, good enough, quality on his day. If we knew he'd be fit for 70% of the season you keep him all day long. Trouble is, we don't.

The one glaring thing about that retained list is the complete lack of width and pace. We also literally have one striker now, one who might have his head turned. I can't count Keane after last season, he was absolutely abysmal.
 
If Robbie Brady signs, then it’s looking likely to me that we will be seeing 5 loan players and 5 permanent players signed up for next season, suspect mostly free agent players but some might be brought.

5 good loans + Iversen, on top of Gibson, McCann, Thor, Frokjaer, and Osmajic means we'll have a stronger 11. Throw in 3 or 4 permanent, hopefully younger signings. With Storey, Lindsay, Hughes, Brady, Whiteman, and Keane providing 'experienced' backup... Possibly Nelson & Pasiek playing a bit-part, too.

No point whining until the recruitment is done. It most likely won't be good enough, but we won't know until the window shuts.

That isn't the finalised squad though is it... I'm not saying we'll be good but Jesus Christ give it a chance eh. People wanted a clear out and that's what's left - we haven't signed anyone yet. What did you expect the list to look like exactly?

There's no surprises on there.
