RIP Shaky

RIP Shaky

did no not know shaky really well but spent many a beer with him at various pne games. he was always a great laugh with great views on his beloved team.
RIP

Never met him but like others spoke to him a fair few times on here over the years. Condolences to family & friends. R.I.P Shaky

I remember first time I met Dave, he was sat right behind me on the kop and for the first 45 minutes he never stopped shouting to Lonergan telling him how shit he was! He had me in stitches that game top character top bloke.

I could write loads about Dave, a caring, witty, intelligent bloke who I've shared many a laugh with. I'm absolutely devastated by the news, spent a lot of time with him over a short period of my life and bloody hell.

Thoughts are with Jackie & Becky, I just can't get my head around it.

I'l be honest, some of his posts on a certain player on here used to get on my nerves, but some of them on other threads were excellent.

Didn't know himself but know someone who did who told me what a great chap he was and his word was good enough to me.

RIP Dave!

Just to add - The Gentry will be raising a few pints to Dave and to anyone else who has lost someone be it a friend/relative over the year.

We might not all agree, the last few days have shown that, but we are all one big family.

Proud Preston

I got to know Shaky really well over the years and was even talking about a trip to Burnley I went with him and his daughter to the other day.

Whenever someone asked me about Shaky I would always say "he is a totally different bloke of the forum, one of the good guys".

I suppose that sums it all up.

I only knew him as a valuable and key member of the pne-online family. It will be a great loss to this forum, which I am sure will be very insignificant compared to the loss to his family.

I was trying to set up a trip up with some mates to experience the Hound trails that Shaky was raving about. Though we didn't know each other personally, Shaky offered to give us as much help as possible in setting the trip up and to act as some kind of tour-guide for us. No doubt he wanted to take our bets though! Shame it didn't work out as with Shaky's help, it would of been really easy to do.

RIP fella. Hope them Hounds keep you entertained.

Jim

RIP Shaky

Like many others have said, I've never met him in person but he was a larger than life character on here, I'll miss his posts!

Deepest condolences to his family and friends.

First met Shaky at the Northampton night match 95-96 1-0 Saville scored took his shirt off then Uriah Rennie ran over to compare pec notes. Shaky was, shall we say, memorable, and has remained so ever since.
