RIP Shaky

RIP Shaky

I think 18 pages so far says it all I like many disagreed a bit with him but his posts were certainly amusing.

thoughts with his family

RIP Shaky - God Bless

Deepest condolences to the family - he was a true gent in real life and took the 'lonners for England' banter well on the kop. One of the forum's great antagonists he will be truly missed by all.

Yeah I want people's best memories too. Bit too raw at the mo though
We have just heard and are absolutely devastated for Jackie and Becky. We have had some really good times (and not so good) with Shaky and just cannot believe it. He is and always will be a 'one off' - our thoughts are with everyone who knew and loved him - RIP David xxxx

Not seen Shaky in years but such strong memories. Esp away games.. Just so upsetting to hear this....

RIP Shaky..

Can't believe it.

Always had our differences, always tried to give as good as he did. I think he won most of the time and I'm genuinely going to miss his posts.

Makes you think twice about things really.

R.I.P Shaky.

Very sad news indeed.

Condolences to his family and all who knew him.

He was a colorful character, who liked an argument / debate on here and sadly this forum will also suffer with his loss. I have spent many a time on here laughing at the arguments he used to get into and his whit seemed lost on some.

I for one will miss the fella !

Amazing how many people are signing up to this forum just to give him their condolences. Shows how well respected he were both inside and outside of this forum.

Just saw the news. RIP Shaky. Never knew you personally but will remember you from PNE Online as an funny, honest, genuine and caring person, able to wind people up with little effort and never afraid to say what you thought. Genuinely shocked and saddened, even more so after reading everyone's posts on this thread. Condolences to your family and friends. They will miss you and your presence will be missed on here as well.

Think we should do something in memory for him (ala footymad did with SuttyPNE - ironically also their top poster). What they did was close the forum down for a day in respect and also stop anybody from overtaking his post count so that he'd always be top. Be nice if we could do the same for David.

+ 1

RIP Shaky. Hope you're already identifying the elite thickos up there.....

Only met Dave once, but I enjoyed his posts.

He was thoughtful and could articulate an argument better than anyone on here.

This forum will be a poorer place without him.

RIP Shaky

Overwhelmed by this guys. I'm off for a vodka

I know it's raw but if you do speak to the family in the next few days about funeral etc can you find out if there is any charities he supported that donations in his honour could be made.
