Review of the game by Alan Kelly and David Unsworth. Interesting discussion near the end about Dobbin.

Hope they've had a word with him and told him to stay with us. They make a good point though about flitting between clubs.
Look at Cannon and Archer, not done a great deal since leaving us (apart from being a lot richer)
Don't go to many away ground but went to this and had a really good day.
Found a lovely pub before the match called the Beer Engine (for future reference).
And actually saw us win game, Lindsay had a great performance, Moran and Jebbo had good games and everyone battled.
Fans in good voice.
But when away fans criticize the Atmosphere at Deepdale, the home fans were terrible.
Really enjoyable day

We definitely need new owners to even stand of chance of signing him, but if the takeover goes through and we can meet the wage demands then you never know.
There is a lot to be said for being happy at a club and I don’t think that will be lost on him. He’s had a few less than great experiences elsewhere.
Also, it would be better for Dobbin to be the star man playing every week with us, rather than a bit part player elsewhere.
Same goes for Devine. We can only hope.

It was a complete nothing game. Not sure what sort of atmosphere you were expecting. But their greasy chip butty song is terrific. But when away fans criticize the Atmosphere at Deepdale, the home fans were terrible.
Our fans were positive and in somewhat of a party mood, but lots of ‘football in a library’ (should be an automatic ejection), and the intent on doing the cringey fistpumps at the end is a bit naff.
I agree, it was a nothing game.
Just saying, the home fans were quiet.
Much like most home fans, just people moan when its said about Deepdale, but it is the same in a lot of grounds.

What a day! Currently lumping on the promotion party in my village local in York. I want this feeling again for PNE.
Better times are ahead.

Morning from Over Wyre
Could have been 5 all, Lewis Dobbin, missed a sitter and denied by a great save at 2-0, they were woeful at corners, meanwhile bringing Burrows on changed the game from them looked more dangerous, some of our defending was a bit pap but hung on.
20 % of our points have come against both Sheffield clubs, all the road trips now done for this season, next Saturday could be a cracker

As I've mentioned previously, I think we're in for a good spanking. Hope I'm wrong of course.Morning from Over Wyre

Hoover gets sucked in at the far postHoover misses from about a yard out.....
watched the highlights of those last few minutes of the Rochdale v York game . Almost had me in tears .. feeling for Rochdale when the thought they’d won it and the fans invading the pitch. Then the irony of the equaliser and the broken hearts when roles reversed . It’s an example of what football truly is and why it’s the greatest game in the world and why I’ll never stop supporting PNEWhat a day! Watched the highlights again this morning and the penalty looked very soft, the very minimum of a touch which looked accidental.Saw the highlights earlier. No way a penalty for me.
The Sheffield player was up straight away, very, very soft penalty in my opinion.
